Chalet Alta was perfect for our family holiday. We were 6 adults and 3 children. The chalet was spacious, well appointed and very well maintained. The indoor heated pool was a big hit with the kids. The gymnasium, sauna and steam were a big hit with the adults. The chalet is very well located (approximately 10 minutes drive to Chamonix high street) and nestled in the most beautiful of backdrops. We made day trips to Annecy, Laussane and Yvoire. We also did the usual tourist attractions like the Parc de Loisirs and the ice grotto. The housekeeper, Emma, was fantastic and very pleasant to talk to. Alex, our host, was equally fantastic and was very prompt to respond to our questions. He had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Our only complaint would be that the chalet needs a better microwave oven. Everything else was in perfect order.
