his is Paradise! It's difficult to describe the amazing experience that Desiterra offers, because this is more than just a 5* resort, this is a place that you immediately recognize to have been built out of passion for hospitality and tourism, to deliver the vacation that anyone dreams of. The resort is situated in a discreet area of the island, on a vast territory that offers all visitors privacy. Our villa had sea view and mountain view and it was spectacular. The villas recompose the Greek spirit and it is splendidly furnished in a minimalistic style. We would often leave the front door open and slept while feeling the Santorini breeze. The resort is very well secured and has full day and night guarding and video cameras for your safety. The most amazing part was waking up and walking on the terrace to see the sunrise from the sea. They had a local restaurant that delivered food to our door. Also, the breakfast was incredible: it included home-made ingredients, all local foods and 100% natural! I could definitely sense the high-quality of the ingredients and the healthy approach of not using processed foods! The staff was very friendly, they helped out with everything, gave us tips on where to eat, what to visit, helped us rent a car, booked us a trip on a boat and overall provided excellent services so that our stay in Santorini would be amazing! You should better go to the restaurants that they suggest because Santorini can be tricky, you can easily be fooled into paying pricy meals at restaurants that are not worth it. Also, the resort is 2km away from Thira and very well connected to the main roads of the island. You should rent a car and you will be able to reach all the important attractions. Side comment - there was a very discreet cat that came to our door, we loved her and fed her. If you don't like pets, you will not be bothered by her. But it was definitely a plus to have such a loving cat waiting for us to come home and caress her!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week and did not want to leave. The rooms are amazing, so clean! The pool bar and pool area is amazing! Lovely sea views from all around the hotel and every suite. All the staff are exceptional - Maria on the front desk made out stay go so smoothly. From all the little things to the big things, we couldn't thank her enough! Me and my partner are a young couple (18 & 19) and we would recommend to all ages. Couples, freinds of families would be suited here. Desiterrra is only 10/15minutes from the airport and only 10mins from Fira, which is one of the most beautiful places. You can also find shops/restaurants and bars in Fira. We will 100% be returning!

Idyllic Santorini

We came here on what was supposed to be our Honeymoon but due to COVID-19 our wedding has been postponed however we decided to go ahead with our Santorini trip. It was pure heaven!! An absolute dream to say the least, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they waited on ya hand and foot! They worked by WhatsApp so anything we wanted booking or needed we simply messaged them and got an instant reply, it made our holiday completely stress free! Couldn’t recommend enough! Thankyou!

The service was good and there is also a selection of experiences they can help you booking on your arrival. Overall we had an amazing 4 days vacation and we strongly recommend this place!

We have just come back from Santorini and it has been one of the most exciting and memorable holidays ever! We arrived at Desiterra at around 11PM on Saturday and received the warmest of welcomes by one of the reception girls, Stella. Although it was late and coming to the end of her shift, she poured us both a glass of wine, ordered a local souvlaki food delivery (Gyro, also worth a visit!) and took the time to go through a map of the island providing suggestions for our week ahead. We followed as many of her recommendations as possible and were never disappointed. The staff take care of all bookings for you, so you can simply sit back and relax. Our villa was presented beautifully with its own plunge pool and sun terrace. The views from the apartment were great and we even got up early one morning to sit out and watch the sunrise. Desiterra has been cleverly situated on a quiet bit of land on the east side of the island. It’s less than 10 minutes away from the busy streets of Thera, but you would never know. All that can be heard is the sound of waves rolling in on the nearby beach and the occasional donkey! You will probably need some form of personal transport when staying here, but cars/quads are in abundance and often very cheap to hire. The owner, Dimitri, is very approachable and always around to maximise his guests experience. His passion for hospitality is refreshing and what he and the team have built here in just a few years is unique in its offering. To summarise, Desiterra’s location is spot on - tranquil and unfrequented but still only a short drive away from Thera, Oia-ia and the airport. What made this place really special for us, was the element of privacy. We searched for a spot which didn’t look as if the suites were built on top one another. Desiterra feels like it has been designed to minimize over looking, and whilst there are a number of suites to choose from you feel like you have this beautiful little part of the world all to yourself
