We’ve had a wonderful week at Villa Genna. Spiros was a really welcoming and helpful host and the villa was exactly as described. It’s a well equipped villa with comfy beds and stunning views. The heated pool was fantastic and the kids loved it. Villa genna is situated in a beautiful part of Corfu with lovely beaches within easy reach. You do need to hire a car but there’s loads to see. We definitely plan to return!

Wonderful tavernas and restaurants The people are without a doubt some of the most warm and welcoming people we have met on any of our holidays in various parts of the world If you want a relaxing holiday with the most spectacular scenery look no further than a stay in Villa Genna

Villa Genna is about as well positioned as it would be possible to imagine. The views over Kalami bay from the bedroom balcony, pool, veranda and outdoor dining table are just spectacular day or night. The villa is also perfectly located in the sweet spot of beaches, villages and bays between Agni and Kassiopi, making for very easy excursions to wonderful spots. Boat hire from the bay in Kalami just below the villa couldn't be easier, and there are several fantastic tavernas and villages within 10-15 minutes drive (or boat ride). So much for the location, the villa itself is spot on. Beautiful pool-with-a-view, outdoor bbq and dining area, well appointed throughout (coffee machine, full cooking & dining equipment etc), and the bedrooms were comfortable each having access to the specacular view from the balcony. Finally, i can't thank Spiros enough for his warmth and generosity as a host, recommending and reserving a restaurant for our first night (we quickly realised the select list of restaurants in his vistitors guidebook was thoughtlyfully chosen), suggesting a great fish shop, a dive excursion with a great school nearby, and even procuring the loan of his fathers guitar for the week when mine had unfortunately been damaged in transit. We were completely smitten with Corfu and Villa Genna and the children were only too happy to suggest coming back.

Outstanding view and personal service

We spent a lovely week at Villa Genna. It is in a great location - a short drive to Kassiopi, Kaloura, Agni and other alluring coves with their waterside tavernas. The view from the house is magnificent - Corfu town in the south, Albania straight ahead, and Kalami Bay below, with Lawrence Durrell’s White House clearly visible .(TIP pack your binoculars for a close-up look at the massive private yachts which moor in the bay below. We had fun looking on-line to find out which billionaire was at play close by each night!) Spiros was a great host. He met us at the airport, despite a late arrival and led us to the house. He popped in with a sweet treat mid-week, and when I lost my watch, he kept up the search and found it a week later. It was also very interesting to talk to him about the island, and about his childhood memories of staying at his grandmother’s stone house next to Villa Genna - real context for our trip.

Perfect Early May Holiday

We (family of 4 including 5 and 2 year olds) stayed in Villa Genna in early May 2019. The villa was fantastic. The pictures do not do the view justice. We never tired of it. The villa is set high on the hill overlooking Kalami Bay. The road leading up to it is thin, winding with some vertiginous cliffs on one side. If you are staying with kids I’d recommend hiring a car. If you are staying without kids you could walk down to the main road. The pool was excellent and our kids loved swimming in it. Inside the villa we were impressed with the size. The downstairs is entirely open plan and is a large area. Upstairs are 3 large bedrooms. It was the biggest villa we’d stayed in (we have stayed in many villas over the years). I was impressed with the cleanliness of the villa. When we arrived it was spotless and the cleaners arrived midway through our week to clean which was a nice touch. We met Spiros a number of times and I can see why the villa is so popular as he continues to try to find ways to further improve the already excellent villa and service he offers. We also found the villa very well equipped (towels, Netflix, kitchen utensils). A big plus also the heating. It got cold in the evenings but were able to warm the kids room before putting them down to sleep. Would highly recommend and we hope to return again.

We had a wonderful week at Villa Genna, beautiful location with stunning views. Well kept villa and pool, Spiros was so helpful and we loved the Greek pudding, thank you! We watched the moon eclipse from the balcony, stunning! Enjoyed coffee, dinner and relaxing at The White House in Kalami. Loved eating at the taverna in Kouloura Bay. We hired a boat and had a great day motoring up and down the coast, gorgeous weather and sea swimming. Highly recommend.

Without any doubt Villa Genna is a very high standard villa with extraordinary, breathtaking views down to the bay of Kalami and over to Albania; with tasteful interior, a wonderful refreshing pool, inviting terraces and lots of plants around – especially the lemon trees. But, and that ist the most important thing – Villa Genna offers you much more: It makes you feel a very special spirit. In every stone of the house and the surrounding, in every tree and flower you can sense the love and also effort with which it came into being. Until today you see and feel the love with which the owner Spiros and his father Alex, who built this place, still take care of it. The Villa breathes peace and harmony, and if you are sitting somewhere in the shadow, looking down to the calm sea with ships looking like toys cruising, you’ll feel a deep understanding for all that is really important in life (or is not). And if you try to describe the place, the result is always the same: Villa Genna is absolutely the best - and much more than this.

The villa, its hillside location and the stunning panoramic views exceeded our expectations. The booking and taking payment was very simple. We were met on the first day by the owners, Spiros and his father who made us feel very welcome and were always contactable to help with any questions about the villa, local services and places of interest to go. This spacious villa was immaculate inside and out. This is our third year in a staying in the north east coastal area of Corfu and will definitely be back next year. We cannot recommend Villa Gemma highly enough. Simply brilliant!
