On a passé une superbe semaine et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !!!

Beautiful Villa!

Vi var en familie på seks som hadde et fantastisk opphold i denne villaen. Vertene var svært imøtekommende og tok seg også tid til å vaske villaen etter at vi hadde vært der i tre dager. Før ankomsten hjalp verten oss med å ordne taxi fra flyplassen…
Vi var en familie på seks som hadde et fantastisk opphold i denne villaen. Vertene var svært imøtekommende og tok seg også tid til å vaske villaen etter at vi hadde vært der i tre dager. Før ankomsten hjalp verten oss med å ordne taxi fra flyplassen, så alt gikk helt perfekt. Det var litt støy fra cicader rundt villaen, antagelig på grunn av den høye temperaturen. Utover det følte vi oss veldig trygge i villaen, spesielt siden den har en stor port som åpnes med en brikke. Det er også et par restauranter i gangavstand (5 minutter), som var greie. Vi anbefaler sterkt Renata og villaen! Hvis du ønsker å besøke stranden og andre attraksjoner, vil det være lurt å ha en bil, da de ikke ligger i umiddelbar nærhet.

We will be happy to return again!

The owners, are the nicest people you could meet. When we arrived they invited us to lunch in the local taverna. The house is spacious, comfortable, and quiet, and the pool and terraces are delightful. Looking forward to three happy weeks here

Great stay at this villa.

Good location. AMAZING views of the white mountains and great pool. Nice olive Grove on site. Good shop and a great Taverna down the road. 10 mins drive to the beach. A top-quality stay!

La villa est super propre ! Voiture plus que nécessaire pour cet endroit pour rejoindre le centre. Sinon petit supermarché a 5 min à pieds et plusieurs tavernes pour manger ouvertes jusque minuit.

Villa Renata was amazing - set in a sweet, peaceful village up the hill in Souda with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The host, Renata, was so kind and helpful. She met us at the property with her husband, showed us around the property, ensured we understood the rules, then sat with us to go over suggestions on places to see during our stay. The house is very clean and stocked with all the necessities, including fresh olive oil from the villas own olive orchard and a few pieces of fruit and a bottle of wine. There are also a few fruit trees and fresh herbs on the property for use. The villa was nicely decorated with local art/crafts placed around the house. And, all the lovely art work on the walls were painted by Renata. Our daughter is an artist and Renata arranged for her to attend an painting class with her. Renata was so good with our daughter, introducing her (and us) the teacher/other painters and giving her pointers. (This was one of the highlights of our trip). The villa has a beautiful deck/pool area and a hammock hanging in the olive orchard. Our kids spent most of their time going back and forth between the two - enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. Just down the hill (within walking distance) there are a few local restaurants and a local market. We made a daily visit to the market for ice cream (and other supplies) and enjoyed chatting with the owner, who is a friend of Renata and couldn't be more welcoming. The villa is nicely situated between Chania (for great food, shopping etc.) and Kalyves (larger market Synka and beaches). We can't wait to go back!

Lovely villa!

This place is amazing. It’s a great location as it’s close to the main town of Chania and yet far enough away to be very private. The villa is immaculate. Perfect. The pool is huge. Our 3 children spent most of their time in the pool. Very easy to get to as only a few minutes off the main East/West Road. We arrived very late bit Renata our host was waiting for us and have us all the information we needed. I absolutely recommend this villa to anyone who wants to visit Crete.

We were welcomed by Rena and her husband even though it was 1am when we arrived. The villa is spotless and well furnished. We could not fault it one bit! Very good communication even being informed when they would come and clean. The location is excellent for the mountains or sea with a lively little village centre just down the hill. Rena's attention to detail was beautiful with her art and little things like arrangement of stones around the villa. We were free to pick the fruit and wander around the olive grove. It had everything we needed, and it was really clean and beautifully maintained. The pool was lovely and the barbecue area with fridge and sink was a real bonus. We all loved the hammock too! The weather was so lovely we spent most of the time outside…
It had everything we needed, and it was really clean and beautifully maintained. The pool was lovely and the barbecue area with fridge and sink was a real bonus. We all loved the hammock too! The weather was so lovely we spent most of the time outside but the villa was really good inside too. The location was ideal for us - walking distance to a really good mini-market as well as several restaurants and bars(went to all of them at least once!), but still very quiet and rural. We visited the ancient ruins at Aptera, and Chania to watch the sunset in the old port, both of those were easy and quick to get to, as were the 3 beaches at Kalami, Kalyves and Almyrida. Renata was extremely helpful and gave us ideas of places to go and things to do! All in all - a really good villa in a fabulous location – I’d be happy to recommend it to others.

The villa was perfect for our 2 week stay, and is in a nice quiet location but what ever you want is not far away. Whilst the villa had the kitchen upstairs which is unconventional, this actually worked very well. It was nice to have a few areas to sit…
The villa was perfect for our 2 week stay, and is in a nice quiet location but what ever you want is not far away. Whilst the villa had the kitchen upstairs which is unconventional, this actually worked very well. It was nice to have a few areas to sit out and have a drink or bite to eat, and choose whether to be in the sun or not. The upstairs verandah gave a nice view of the mountains whilst catching the early sun and having breakfast. The villa was clean and tidy, with laundry changed twice whilst there. Mrs Renata was the perfect host, on arrival to provide local insight to the area, places to consider visiting and laid on a few local items in the fridge as a welcome; which was a nice touch. Superb location being only 5 mins walk to 2 local tavernas and about 15 mins in the car to Chania, additional 5 mins gets you to the main East/West Highway for places like Rethymnon and Falassarna. Out of all the villas we have stayed at over the years I would say this is one of only two that we would definitely return to.
