A lovely house that fully met our expectations. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed excellent service, with quick responses whenever we had questions. The views were fantastic, and the house is set in a peaceful location up in the mountains. The road up to the house is a little tricky, so renting a car is recommended. We were a family of 11, including a young child, and had no problems arranging a cot and high chair. There are also two lovely heated pools with sun loungers, which made our stay even more enjoyable!

We had a lovely stay at the villa and the setting and view were amazing. All communication prior was clear and helpful and the owner was able to support us with early/late check in and out. The roads to access the villa are narrow and winding which were difficult to negotiate in the dark so a car and a confident driver are essential. It wasn’t possible to walk to local restaurants but it was only a short drive/taxi journey and we enjoyed visiting these and heading into Chania old town for a busier vibe. The layout across the two villas suited our large family group well and the pools were great with separate children’s sections.

We had a wonderful week in a fantastic location, staying in a beautiful house with well-maintained pools and a view that is hard to beat. The road up into the mountains was a bit demanding, but once we arrived, it was well worth the effort. The only thing we would have wished for was a larger dishwasher, as we were a large group. Otherwise, everything was absolutely fantastic!

Perfect!

This was a perfect location for us to relax quietly by the pool, but close enough to town to enjoy shopping and other activities

We really enjoyed our time staying in the top two Villas. They are self contained so it's easy to split the families and meet for dinner on the terrace. The view is amazing, looking out over the olive groves and the sea in the distance. The swimming pools are a generous size and having two gave us options for different families to have some space. The temperature was good for us even in May. Our young kids were in there every day swimming and they really loved it. We were a large group with three families so we needed car hire from Chania Airport. It was really easy to get to the shops Synka or Lidl within 10-15 minutes drive to pick up groceries. The roads are narrow so it's worth getting car insurance as it could be easy to scratch the car on the trees etc. Facilities in the kitchen could be improved. Dishwasher should be replaced and a toaster would be a useful addition. Additional plates and cutlery would also be good when you have big families. Hope to be back, we loved it!

This Villa is even better than the photos listed, the pools are so big with ample sun loungers, the kitchens have all the necessary facilities- oven, microwave, dishwasher etc. There’s multiple seating areas both indoor and outdoor and plenty of rooms to sleep in. The location itself has an incredible view over the whole of crete. The drive there is not too bad at all considering it is up in the mountains and the drives are big enough to fit multiple cars. The host was very responsive and helpful, we asked her many questions about checking in, bins, leaving keys etc.

Definitely recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Sofia-Thomas. The host had great recommendations including chef service to come cook for you at the villa which was incredible. Was perfect for our large group of 10, with plenty of space and incredibly views.

Great Stay!

Villa Sofia was amazing - we went as a group of old school friends and had the best time. We had a huge bbq on one night, and drinks by the pool every eve overlooking the brilliant view of the sea. Elina was brilliant, always picking up our phone calls to give recommendations and sending taxi numbers. All the bedrooms were brilliantly air conditioned which was needed in August heat! We couldn’t have had a better time. Highly recommend.

The panoramic view of the surrounding landscape was breathtaking during the day and awesome in the evenings seeing lights across Stalos. Our host, Elina, was friendly and welcoming, greeting us upon arrival. Both pools were clean, well-maintained, and perfect for cooling off. The top Thomas villa pool was deep enough to dive whilst the bottom Sofia Villa pool was shallow enough to stand. Both pools had a safe ‘splash pad’ for very young kids. The air conditioner was a lifesaver in the hot evenings, keeping cool and comfortable for a good night’s sleep. We made good use of all 3 bedroom balconies from the Thomas villa and the BBQ area from the Sofia Villa where we spent most of our evenings. Both villas were clean twice and well-equipped with most of the amenities we could ask for. Overall, this villa provided a great combination of comfort, luxury, and stunning views. We can’t wait to return!

å være i fredelige omgivelser!

Vi var 14 personer som hadde en flott uke i Sofia-Thomas. To måtte sove i stua. Veldig fine basseng- og grillområder med nydelig utsikt. Ca 10 minutter å kjøre opp fra sjøen, men deilig å være i fredelige omgivelser.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Sofia and Villa Thomas! The villas were clean and well appointed. We had an issue with one of the refrigerators not working on the first day of our stay and the host had the entire fridge replaced immediately! Excellent customer service! There were seven of us and we had plenty of room. The pools were both in great shape and were checked and skimmed daily. The hot water is solar powered so it is important to time your showers as the water heater takes a long time to heat up if not using solar. The location was beautiful and the beach was just down the hill. It is best to have a car but be aware the road to the villa is very bumpy and narrow with sharp turns. Once we got used to it we had no issues. Overall a great stay and host. Would definitely recommend the property.
