The Villa is a great holiday villa with great views, great facilities and a great host. There is no need to leave the villa for a fab day out as one can lounge around whilst taking in the beautiful views from the house or enjoying in the pool or the outside! Everyroom looks onto the sea. The facilities are fabulous too. The owner is easily acceasible with great recommendations for a truly local experience be that sight seeing, adventure or culinary. His hospitality makes the experience of staying at the Black Pearl a par above all with his genrosity for welcome lunch, local honey and olive oil gifts. We were also treated to the sweetest figs from the area. Overall an experience that we would highly recommend for a lovely holiday.

We did a lot of research before booking and this villa is as good or better than the pictures. The villa is fantastic and the views out of this world especially from the infinity pool and the master bedroom. Wonderful design with a gym and entertainment room. Set high overlooking the bay the serenity is an experience but with a 5 minute drive we could be at a world class spa and restaurant. Ten minutes and we were in the village of Elounda were we could buy fresh bread at the local bakery and supplies at the supermarkets. Although for the first couple of days the fridge was so well stocked with everything we could need. The kitchen is very well appointed with all the appliances and accessories you would expect in a villa of this exceptionally high standard. The owner is as exceptional as his villa. Kind and helpful we arrived very late on our first visit he met us on the main road and guided us to the villa,asked if we were hungry and ordered pizza delivered at his expense. He was always available at the end of a txt or call to answear any questions or give advice on the best places to eat etc.but never intrusive. A truly wonderful man.

My family and I (6 people in total) stayed in this villa. Yiannis, the owner, met us at the door, gave us the guided tour, then lavished us with gifts of Local honey, olive oil, and cakes!! The house is amazing - with an even more amazing view. Everything worked, was clean, and did I mention the view!!! Maid service was every other day, and they did a fantastic job. Location of the villa is very good - equidistant between the village of Elounda, and the city of Agios Nicholas. The villas sit at the top of a hill - at the bottom of the hill lies the exclusive Porto Elounda resort, which includes a six senses spa. Yiannis arranged for us to have access (for a modest fee) to the resort facilities (pool, beach, water sport activities, spa), which we did several times during our two week stay. Some of the best beaches in the world lie not a ten minute drive from the house. From the house, off in the distance, you will spot Spinalonga Island (look it up, amazing history, worth the trip). We caught the ferry from Elounda village, which leave every 30 mins. Yiannis checked in on us every few days to make sure everything was going well. He left us his number in case we needed any information, directions, or restaurant recommendations (don't miss Migomis in Agious Nicholas, also Pasta Bar). Overall, highly recommended. We are already planning our visit for next year, we enjoyed it so much.

Everything we needed was already at the villa when we arrived. If we needed anything during our stay, nothing was too much trouble for Yiannis. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, we felt welcome and very well looked after. It's in a great, very private location, with a fabulous view; the photos don't do it justice. And the villa is very spacious and comfortable. Took around an hour to get there from Iraklion. It's easy to get to supermarkets and local shops in nearby Elounda, although Plaka is a smaller, prettier little town with some nice little shops full of local stuff. And the local restaurants deliver good quality food. The owner was always contactable for advice and recommendations for places to go and was from start to finish of our holiday, the perfect host. I couldn't recommend this villa enough.

Great place, great hospitality!

We went to the villa as a family and had a great great time. great views. The owner is a five star, charming and welcoming man who took amazing care of us. We therefore had access to the best walks, restaurants, etc.

A welcome pack meant we didn’t need to nip out to the supermarket on the first day, all the necessities were available and this was very handy. We received lots of useful recommendations from Yannis, he also runs the local water sports centre and we made use of his boat hire…. Highly recommend. We would definitely return!

Communication prior to the trip was excellent and the owner made sure that all of our requests were dealt with. He was very generous in providing provisions when we arrived. During our stay, the owner was unobtrusive but was always available to provide answers to questions, make recommendations and extremely helpful to ensure we enjoyed our holiday to the full. The position of the villa provided fabulous views of the sea and the infinity pool gave the impression we were actually enjoying the sea. We asked for the Villa’s pool to be heated during our stay, this enabled us to enjoy the pool at all times of the day. The Villa was beautifully clean, very well equipped and very tastefully decorated. We had a spectacular holiday and I’m sure this will not be the only visit to this villa.

We were met by the friendliest host you could hope to find. He made us feel immediately welcome and had provided a full fridge and cupboard to help us settle in. The villa and surroundings were spectacular and exactly as advertised. Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need and more.The pool was great and very clean. The rooms were all well maintained and very comfortable.The location had an amazing view and was tranquil. You would need a car to get to and from the villa but you are 10 minutes away from the lovely town of Elounda and only a few more minutes from Plaka. The host will help to organise any water activity that you may want to try.He will also provide advice on other local activities.We would definitely book to stay here again if we return to Crete in the future.Thank you for making our holiday in Crete very special.

We spent 10 days at the villa & were very sad to leave! The views are wonderful, the infinity pool area is fab, and the villa itself is lovely & our host was extremely helpful & friendly. The villa was cleaned every other day & provisions were there for our arrival. Unless taxiing, I would recommend hiring a car (which we did) as it is uphill (hence the amazing views) & slightly out of Elounda but it is totally worth it. You could stay in the villa the whole time & just chill & enjoy it!

Research for a quality villa is part of the holiday for me and I was quietly confident that if the pictures were anything to go by then I'd be on to a winner. I've got to say that the pictures don't do the villa justice! The villa is located quite high up on the hill overlooking the gorgeous Elounda bay - the view is quite simply breathtaking. Sitting on the deck with the infinity pool is probably the most relaxed I've ever felt on a beach holiday. It was really handy to have a gym in the villa and we even watched a couple of movies on the huge plasma screen, which has a great sound system attached to it. A quality touch was providing sound systems in all rooms with iPod connectivity. The world is a big place, but if I go back to Elounda I'll be heading straight for the this villa !

This property is fantastic , we were fortunate to meet the owner (yannis) who looked after us and was in call if we had any questions or concerns. We stay in villas every year and my family and I would agree this is the best place we have stayed. You would need a car or arrange taxis to go to the local mariner for dinners or drink but this is only about 6-7 mins drive. The location of the villa has the ultimate wow factor view and all of the interior fixtures and fittings are of high class. The AC in the villa is perfect and positioned well in all rooms to maintain the temp without being intrusive and with the added benefit of electric security gates it feels very secure. Everything you need is in the house and makes you relax within minutes of your arrival. Thank you very much for having us at your beautiful house

The 10 days we spent here were absolutely perfect. The house itself is comfortable, well-equipped, and professionally maintained. The views of the sea and mountains are breathtaking, and the pool area was a perfect spot for relaxation.The location is ideal for a peaceful getaway, yet close enough to explore the surrounding areas, namely Elounda and Ágios Nikolaos.The host was wonderful - welcoming, attentive, and always available to answer any questions. It was a pleasure to get to know Yiannis, and his hospitality truly made our stay special. He also owns a Sports Center nearby and the boat tour we booked was a fantastic addition to our stay, providing a unique way to experience the stunning scenery.We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing vacation. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Villa!

Great very spacious accommodation. Owner Yannis is available 24/7 and extremely helpful. Heating costs for the pool cost extra and are not insignificant. If necessary, they should be asked in advance. Otherwise, everything is great!

We recently came back from a stay at the villa. It exceeded our expectations, we received a friendly welcome to an immaculate kept modern spacious villa with everything we could possibly need and then some. The villa has an absolutly stunning view of Elounda bay, and the sunsets are out of this world, (we watched them from the infinity pool while enjoying a glass of wine). The villa is located close enough to both the bustling town of Agios Nicolaos and Elounda itself (Elounda we found does not have much to offer) yet far enough to enjoy ultimate tranquility.

We had a great time at this villa, on arrival the owner met us and guided us to the location which is a bit out of town, in a great location with a panoramic view of the bay. The house is beautifully designed, and furnished, and well equipped. The owner supplied us with a welcome package that meant we did not have to immediately find a shop. The photos show the house as it really is, a luxury spot with a beautiful infinity pool. The owner also helped us plan our trips, and gave us good advice, especially for restaurants, every one of his recommendations led us to a quality restaurant with excellent food, and a bit of extra personal service as they knew the owner well. I would certainly return to this great villa.

Villa was excellent, the owner was superb, could not do enough for us, beautiful view, good location and magnificent views. The pool area is also fantastic. The villa is near to all kind of amenities and the beach. Thanks again for everything!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the the villa and would highly recommend it. Yannis is a fantastic host and we couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome. We arrived to a fully stocked refrigerator of lovely local produce, which had obviously been carefully chosen, as there was something for everyone. During our stay Yannis, whilst remarkably discreet, remained available via his mobile, for any advice or help that he could offer. The villa is beautifully maintained and well equipped, both internally and externally. The views from the villa and pool are breath-taking but especially from the Master bedroom. The only thing missing for us was a BBQ. If you are looking for a totally relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings and don’t mind driving to local amenities then this villa is perfect.

The location was fabulous and very peaceful, being high up enough to be able to take in the stunning views. Yiannis is a fabulous host, he really has thought of everything you need to make a great holiday and he was attentive without being obtrusive. Wonderful villa, I highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Both the rental agency staff and the owner are more than happy to go above and beyond what is required to enhance your stay (even brought cake - what a lovely touch). I would not hesitate to book this villa again.
