SK Place have three villas in a small private complex to the east of the small village of Almyrida. Cleverly designed to maximize privacy yet afford spectacular views across the bay to the Chania peninsula. We stayed in Ammos the middle Villa which is beautifully appointed, airy, spacious, and with all the trimmings you expect from a 5* operation. Ammos being the middle villa was more sheltered than its neighbor Almyra. The three villas are down a small road away from traffic and are extremely quiet and tranquil. The pool was a real hit with my girls who spent most of the week swimming and relaxing. The village of Almyrida is just a few mins walk away, with all the tavernas and small shops you need. Chania the local main town is about 40 mins drive with a lovely Old Town to explore. Overall a real 5* experience that we intend to do again in 2023 dog-sitter permitting!

If you are looking for excellent accommodations, a great location and a stunning view, you just found it ! We have rented the 3 SK Villas for an annual family gathering, and everything was just perfect. Villas are different and each one in its own style…
If you are looking for excellent accommodations, a great location and a stunning view, you just found it ! We have rented the 3 SK Villas for an annual family gathering, and everything was just perfect. Villas are different and each one in its own style has a beautiful design with great facilities. The location is also fantastic, with a sand beach and restaurants within short walking distance, and a stunning view on the bay. Katrina , the Villas owner, was very helpul to guide us and address us to Stella and Christo, who own a restaurant in Plaka, and cattered for us at the Villas. To fully appreciate Cretan cuisine and the local wines, I would highly recommend hiring their services during the week to add to the pleasure of the stay. We had 4 evenings of delicious cuisine and one fantastic wine tasting experience, with wines only Stella could find. I will never let my friends say again that the wine in Crete is mediocre! Last but not least, both the Villas and the cattering services come at a price, but you definitely get the value for them. We have annual family gathering since several years now, and that's our best experience so far!

Simply outstanding. Fabulous villas, beautifully designed and fitted, in quiet location with spectacular 180 degree views to enjoy the sunsets. Five minutes walk to the local tavernas where the welcome is warm and the food and wine delicious. Western Crete is beautiful, roads were relatively empty and the weather in September was perfect. Katerina (Manager Owner) was always on hand if needed and staff were great. We have been on many villa holidays all over the world but this was the tops. You will not be disappointed.

Although I have visited many Greek Islands, this was my first visit to Crete. We have 6 teenagers so I decided on SK Place in Almyrida about 25 minutes east of Chania. The minute Katerina (the landlady who was so helpful and friendly) opens the main doors to the terrace and you look at the view you just go "Wow!". The villas are perfect with fantastic views over the sea and beautiful infinity pools. Most importantly they combine privacy with a mere 5 minute walk into Almyrida which is a lovely small town with excellent tavernas. It is a magical place and all the family agreed we will be back next year.

Another brilliant stay

This was our third visit, this time - the villas and views remain as beautiful as ever, the setting is sooooo tranquil and relaxing and the service offered by Katerina and the team is world class - highly recommend SK Place!!!

We have rented the 3 SK Villas for an annual family gathering, and everything was just perfect. Villas are different and each one in its own style has a beautiful design with great facilities. The location is also fantastic, with a sand beach and restaurants within short walking distance, and a stunning view on the bay.
