The villa is simply stunning, both inside and out. The attention to detail is second to none. The inside is beautifully designed and very well-equipped. The outside space is very well thought-out - you can always find a comfy place with the sun, shade or breeze you are after! We loved the location - very peaceful with amazing views, but only a few minutes drive from many lovely villages, beaches and restaurants. Communication was great, both beforehand and during our stay. It was one of those places where you feel privileged to have been able to stay - thanks so much!

Beautifully presented and surrounded by fantastic views of the sea to the north and the mountains in the south, the villa was the perfect location for a much needed break. The property is immaculate and cleverly furnished; allowing you to relax in comfort at any hour of the day or night. The pool area is great for daytime lounging and in the late afternoon the roof terrace allows you to continue enjoying the sun as it begins to dip behind the hills to the West. We really enjoyed our stay and Ian and Annie could not have been more helpful and kind throughout.

Beautiful location with fabulous views of Souda bay and the White mountains. The villa is equipped for every cooking need and the fridge is big. The pool was warm enough even in October and we really enjoyed it. The roof terrace was great to go and hide…
Beautiful location with fabulous views of Souda bay and the White mountains. The villa is equipped for every cooking need and the fridge is big. The pool was warm enough even in October and we really enjoyed it. The roof terrace was great to go and hide from the rest of the family, they found me eventually! There are terraces and seating on every side so always somewhere to sit in the sun or keep out of the breeze. The beds were really comfy and the washing machine meant we didn’t need to take too much clothing. We enjoyed many meals in Almyrida and had a couple of trips to Chania both recommended. We would go again in a heart beat.

From the roof terrace to the hidden patios tucked away..this villa really is perfection on every level. The villa reeks of luxury and all items are of top quality. Comfortable interiors with fresh and clean linen, beautifully equipped kitchen (with sharp knives!) this place is a real gem, to the point that we didn’t want to write this review because we would like to keep the villa to ourselves as a hidden secret. Ian and Annie were superb hosts and couldn’t do enough to make our stay wonderful.

Thanks to the A and I for building such a beautiful villa in the Chania district, not far from Kalyves. The villa had everything we could have wished for, lovely bedrooms, great kitchen and dining area, and even better a " cool" outdoor area. Amenities were great. The pool was a good size, and the kids almost lived in there. The villa is very modern, chic and still makes you feel at home. We loved the different outdoor areas, including the roof terrace , the sun lounges and the pétanque court. The villa manager was great and the maintenance of the garden and pool were done regularly. We enjoyed the gym equipment. One of the best part of the villa was the amazing views of the mountains, the sea and the greenery. The sunrise and sunsets were perfect, and we also got a lovely breeze. You cannot see any other villas from the property ,which makes it feel very private and relaxed. The road to get to the villa are pretty bumpy and we were glad we had hired an old car ) Also, you are dependent on using the car everywhere, particularly in the summer. We had some great outings to Chania, Elafonissi, Loutro, some local villages and Almyrida. Warmly recommended !

From the moment you step into the grounds of this stunning villa you can’t fail to be impressed. Every detail has been considered. The location is superb, just a short drive or taxi ride away from many charming Greek villages, such as Almyrida, Plaka…
From the moment you step into the grounds of this stunning villa you can’t fail to be impressed. Every detail has been considered. The location is superb, just a short drive or taxi ride away from many charming Greek villages, such as Almyrida, Plaka and Vamos with some great restaurants and authentic little bars. The location of the villa also offers panoramic sea views to the front and the dramatic, snow-capped White Mountains to the rear. The grounds of the villa are a delight, with some lovely older trees, extensive lawns and beautiful plants, especially the fragrant lavender beds. The terraces provide many different areas to sit and chill, sunbathe or socialise, with some areas in full sun and others in the shade with a breeze if you want it. Lying by the pool with the sun shining, my favourite music playing and good company I indeed felt I had died and gone to heaven. The infinity pool is fabulous, clean and inviting and big enough to have a proper swim. There is an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and a great outdoor dining area, a rooftop terrace makes the most of those stunning views and the Cretan sun. Inside Villa Annie is wonderfully cool with spacious and welcoming living areas and a very well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bedroom we used had a very private bathroom just next to it with a really large shower and a bath. There are large terraces front and rear of the bedroom where we enjoyed watching the swallows nest building and performing acrobatics. The other two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and their own private terraces. The villa throughout is immaculate, tastefully decorated (check out the large painting in the living room) and very well appointed. It feels like home (even if it’s just for the week) and is ideal for families or couples alike to enjoy.

If you want complete peace of mind in a luxurious villa among lavender and olive trees than this is the place for you! We stayed here with our two grown-up daughters who loved the roof terrace, the infinity pool, the state-of the-art kitchen and the widescreen TV. The views over Souda Bay were simply stunning as were the surrounding villages. We particularly enjoyed Almyrida with its fish tavernas and lively beach. The owners went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our holiday, while we were given a warm welcome by the housekeeper who made sure we familiarised ourselves with the villa on arrival. You will definitely need a car to reach this hilltop villa but its remoteness is part of its charm ... and your neighbours are some very friendly sheep! Would love to return! Can't recommend highly enough.

We regularly stay in luxury Villas throughout Europe and we agreed as a family that this Villa was the most impressive Villa we have stayed in. It is absolutely stunning! You can tell that the owners have paid meticulous detail into the design and planning of the Villa in pretty much every way possible. The Villa is in an excellent location broadly in between Chania Old Town and Rethymno and both places are highly recommended to visit to have a stroll around and also to eat at many of the fine restaurants that are available. The Villa itself is extremely modern, and has everything available to you for a wonderful stay. All bedrooms have en-suite and they have their own private terraces which provide sea views to the front and the mountains to the rear. The open plan lounge area is light and airy and has a high vaulted ceiling which is really impressive. The Kitchen is modern with high end appliances and has made us think about updating ours at home. It’s fully air conditioned throughout! The outside area is large whereby there is plenty of space to relax, sunbath and eat for breakfast and lunch. The swimming pool is awesome. It’s very big, at least 50 square metres and I personally liked to chill out in the shallow area drinking a glass of Prosecco whilst taking in the sea views. There are extensive lawn areas whereby you can play some volleyball or badminton. We normally like to go to new Villas and different places to gain new experiences but we will definitely consider returning to the villa  - it was really that good!

We stopped at this villa for a glorious week at the beginning of June. Set in private, gated grounds on the crest of a hill, the villa offers breathtaking 360 views to the sea, the mountains and the picturesque villages of the Apokoronas. Location-wise…
We stopped at this villa for a glorious week at the beginning of June. Set in private, gated grounds on the crest of a hill, the villa offers breathtaking 360 views to the sea, the mountains and the picturesque villages of the Apokoronas. Location-wise, we were a 6 min drive to Almyrida beach and a bit less to the beaches at Kera and Kalives. Airport was around 30 mins. Lovely 15 min evening walk to the tavernas in Douliana. 33 degrees by the large pool, but the Villa was wonderfully cool with its high, vaulted, cedar wood ceilings, underfloor and fan-coil cooling (a very pleasant and noticeably different atmosphere from the irritating dryness of air-conditioning). Magical evenings at the villa under star-studded skies with the scent of lavender, rosemary and thyme drifting in from the gardens on the gentle north-south breeze. Understand the owners are laying a large lawn area to the front of the villa, which will make a great place for the kids to play in the shade of several ancient oak and carob trees. Beautifully appointed Siemens kitchen got my wife quite jealous…never got chance to use the summer kitchen. Beds and bedrooms sumptuous - kids loved the spa-jet showers - couldn’t get them out… Been on more than a few villa holidays over the years - the villa was the truly stand out experience - we’ve already booked for next year :)

Stunning Luxury Villa in a perfectly location with amazing panoramic views of the white mountains and the sea

We were totally blown away with this gorgeous villa which made all other villas seem very ordinary by comparison. The views all around were stunning and we were spoilt for choice of where to sit for breakfast and our morning coffee, even with the 2 other…
We were totally blown away with this gorgeous villa which made all other villas seem very ordinary by comparison. The views all around were stunning and we were spoilt for choice of where to sit for breakfast and our morning coffee, even with the 2 other couples who we stayed with there was so much choice. Sitting around the pool was lovely with views of the Bay and the huge pretty well tended gardens which wrapped around the Villa. There is even a charming Boules Court, fun especially when played with a glass of the excellent local wine! The views from the roof top terrace took your breath away and again with plenty of seating. The villa was immaculate with spacious bedrooms and living areas, very well equipped with all mod cons and good seating to eat inside or outside on the terrace and a brilliant outside BBQ. The location for this Villa is superb, very private and feels secluded but with only a short drive to lovely beaches, villages with a very good choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. The local shops and bakeries are great too and cater for your every need. The local shop owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for exploring further afield to traditional mountain villages. I recommend taking a trip to the South where you can take a small boat to Loutro for lunch and a swim in the clear waters. I can't recommend this Villa enough, the best by a mile we have stayed in previously, in a word perfection! Stating the obvious we will be returning!

This villa is simply stunning for summer with lots of beautiful beaches, bars and amazing local restaurant nearby. Switch to autumn it’s still in the high 20’s so you can soak up the sun. Everything is still open. And, then you have the winter and you have the beautiful snow capped mountains peace and tranquillity in beautiful surroundings to loose yourself in. This is an amazing beautiful place. If you want family fun book it, if you want to take yourself off to write that book or screen play you’ve been meaning to write, book it. You won’t be disappointed. This villa is plus 5 star

The villa is simply stunning, both inside and out. The attention to detail is second to none. The inside is beautifully designed and very well-equipped. The outside space is very well thought-out - you can always find a comfy place with the sun, shade or breeze you are after! We loved the location - very peaceful with amazing views, but only a few minutes drive from many lovely villages, beaches and restaurants. Communication was great, both beforehand and during our stay. It was one of those places where you feel privileged to have been able to stay - thanks so much!

Beautifully presented and surrounded by fantastic views of the sea to the north and the mountains in the south, the villa was the perfect location for a much needed break. The property is immaculate and cleverly furnished; allowing you to relax in comfort at any hour of the day or night. The pool area is great for daytime lounging and in the late afternoon the roof terrace allows you to continue enjoying the sun as it begins to dip behind the hills to the West. We really enjoyed our stay and Ian and Annie could not have been more helpful and kind throughout.

Relaxing stay

Beautiful location with fabulous views of Souda bay and the White mountains. The villa is equipped for every cooking need and the fridge is big. The pool was warm enough even in October and we really enjoyed it. The roof terrace was great to go and hide from the rest of the family, they found me eventually! There are terraces and seating on every side…

The pool was warm enough even in October and we really enjoyed it. The roof terrace was great to go and hide from the rest of the family, they found me eventually! There are terraces and seating on every side so always somewhere to sit in the sun or keep out of the breeze. The beds were really comfy and the washing machine meant we didn’t need to take too much clothing. We enjoyed many meals in Almyrida and had a couple of trips to Chania both recommended. We would go again in a heart beat.
