Benvenuti a Villa La Rive Cape Town, un'esclusiva villa di lusso con sei camere da letto situata nel cuore della pittoresca Franschhoek, Città del Capo. Un incontro con un'opulenza discreta e un piacere sensoriale che ti lascerà desiderare di non dover mai partire.

Oggi, Villa La Rive Cape Town è stata trasformata in una villa incredibilmente accogliente e familiare che ricorda un matrimonio tra l'eredità coloniale inglese e tradizionale afrikaans / olandese. I suoni dell'acqua provenienti da vari elementi intorno ai terreni ti trasporteranno in un rifugio tranquillo appena fuori dalla strada principale di Franschhoek. Considerando che è solo un isolato da questa strada, rimarrai stupito di non poter vedere alcuna forma di abitazione umana da tutte le parti del giardino, della piscina e delle verande esterne.

Un mix meravigliosamente eclettico di architettura e mobili vittoriani, olandesi del Capo e georgiani, oltre a numerosi pezzi di famosi artisti sudafricani come Neil Rodger, Gregoire Boonzaier, Edward Wolfe e Dylan Lewis in mostra, illustra la passione di Brett per il collezionismo d'arte .

Esci negli ampi e ariosi cortili e ammira i panorami davanti a te. Un'invitante piscina vi offrirà una rinfrescante tregua dalle calde giornate estive di Franschhoek e se doveste avventurarvi oltre, vi imbattereste in un giardino incantato e lussureggiante che potrebbe benissimo essere quello di "The Secret Garden" di Frances Hodgson Burnett. Con numerosi sentieri che conducono a varie alcove, panchine e prati, sarai in grado di scomparire per un po 'di tranquillità, meditazione o anche un momento romantico.

Ogni camera ha una personalità e un carattere propri e non esistono due comodini antichi uguali. Uno chef e un maggiordomo dal vivo ti forniranno una colazione continentale a 5 stelle e un servizio di prima classe, completo di tutti i lussi e i comfort che ci si aspetta da una villa come questa.

A luxurious experience!

La Rive exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. Wayne, La Rive’s very friendly (and witty) live-in chef welcomed us upon arrival, which included champagne and snacks in the lounge. We were treated like royals, with no request being seen…
La Rive exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. Wayne, La Rive’s very friendly (and witty) live-in chef welcomed us upon arrival, which included champagne and snacks in the lounge. We were treated like royals, with no request being seen as too small to attend to. The staff on duty were extremely friendly and always eager to serve, making sure we were always comfortable, be that with a warm drink in hand, or lighting a cosy fire in the lounge or on the terrace for us to enjoy. The venue itself is wonderfully, and classically decorated, oozing with character and class. It felt like we took a step back in time, with classic French decor, antique furniture, and tasteful art setting the scene. Each room has its own unique character, and with the addition of underfloor heating, air conditioner, and satellite TV, we certainly did not lack comfort. The gardens are exceptionally well maintained, complete with a large reflective pool serving as the centerpiece to the view of the majestic Franschoek mountains in the background . With this as our view, breakfast on the terrace was definitely one of our highlights. Wayne’s preference for classic, all-time favourites saw us enjoying freshly-pressed fruit and vegetable juices, muesli, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cheese and meat boards, croissants with butter, and our choice of hot breakfast items (eggs, sausages, tomato, and toast). La Rive is centrally situated, which makes it easy to enjoy Franschhoek without driving far (we comfortably strolled to town for dinner in the evenings). The popular Perdekop hiking trail at the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve is only a few kilometres away. We had the privilege of doing this 16km trail - what a treat! The approximately 6-hour hike boasts breathtaking views and a large variety of indigenous flowers and shrubs along the way, in surroundings which, even if just for a moment, seem almost otherworldly. We would highly recommend La Rive for a relaxing breakaway - perfect for those moments when you need to take a step back in time and escape from the rush and stress of everyday living. You will be well looked after and pampered by any standard.

The impression only grows as you walk through to the grounds, complete with stunning pool and lovely sun-beds. The intimate feel lessens as you explore the gorgeous, sprawling gardens, with many nooks for picnics, reading or quiet reflection. The other amenities are impeccable, with plenty of space and comfort. The underfloor heating is a lovely touch, and access to DSTV/Netflix and music make it perfect for a family. But what really differentiates La Rive is the stunning attention to service - with a dedicated chef and butler, you will want for nothing. But more than that, the staff make every effort to make you feel at home, including encouraging you to rummage around the kitchen for a midnight snack if you feel the need!

We couldn't have been made to feel more at home, or more spoilt! The house is completely gorgeous and service a complete joy, our every want was accommodated for, whether you wanted drinks and food laid out for you or just wanted to grab your own cup of tea and a banana from the fruit bowl. Our room was lovely and extremely comfortable, complete with much welcomed under floor heating already on when we arrived on a chilly evening. The location couldn't be better with the Franschhoek high street a stones throw away. Many thanks for a lovely stay!
