We can't say enough good things about our time here. It was incredibly peaceful, stunning location. We got in a little late that evening, Dimitris and Eva met us at the villa and even had a few groceries stocked for us in the fridge, along with welcome drinks. They make you feel right at home from the very first minute - very, very thoughtful. the photos really dont do this villa justice, it more amazing in person!! Our only problem was that we had to leave, we LOVE it here. I would encourage anyone thinking of renting this place to book it immediately- you will absolutely love every minute. Loced the pool and outdoor kitchen! The house had everything we needed. also the restaurant recommendation, that is just down the road, was our favorite place and meals during our entire time in Greece!! Thanks Dimitris & Eva for making our stay so special.

There are a few excellent Tavernas within walking distance but you would need a car to explore the area more. Our host was fantastic and couldn't help us enough throughout our stay. We would definitely want to stay here again if we could it was like being in paradise for 10 days! Every comfort imaginable!

We had a magnificent week in this villa. All that has been written is true, the view from the terrace at day and night is beautiful, the villa is new, designed with exquisite taste and very spacious. Explanations about directions were accurate and helped a lot. Our hosts were available by phone at any time, met us when we came for an explanation tour, which is needed because the place is big so there is lots to see, we made a stupid mistake on our first night, getting locked outside with the key in the house! But Dimitris and his daughter came right away to open the door for us. We are six adults and felt completely comfortable, lots of sitting and relaxing spots inside and out. The feeling is like being in an exclusive hotel – bath robes, towels for shower and towels for the pool, slippers and exquisite bed sheets. Fully equipped kitchen and again I must mention the fine decor. We had our dinners at the indoor dining corner, outdoor dining table and also at the BBQ dining table, each place with its spectacular view of the sea and Heraklion. Also there is a choice of four Taverns very close by. To reach the villa you really do need a car, we rented at the airport, the trip is short, less than half an hour so if needed to buy food or anything else, the city is close.

The host was amazing. Any questions were answered immediately and the overall experience was a lot better than we expected it to be. The view is breathtaking and the location is great for people that want to stay away from the noise and stress of the center of the city yet not so far from the center of Heraklion. There are nearby Taverns with amazing dishes. Make sure to rent a car to not rely on taxis. Summing up the experience was very good.

Dimitris welcomed us in the early evening with his nice daughter. The house is equipped with everything what is needed. At our arrival some welcome drinks and fruits were organized by Dimitris. Perfect!One day we had some trouble with the air-conditioning. Dimitris arrived after 10 minutes and solved our issue. Perfect service. We definitely recommend this villa!!!!Thank you Dimitris

The best of the best

Many residents travel up here every night to spend time in the neighborhood's tavernas because it has one of the nicest views in the Heraklion area. Really excellent outdoor dining area with a barbecue.

We were greeted warmly by Dimitris and Eva (after being delayed on the ferry and they were gracious enough to show us around the villa late at night!) they even left us snacks and refreshments, so generous. Dimitris was excellent with communication leading into our stay. The villa is stunning - the photos are great but don't do it justice. Beautiful architecture, furnishings, comfortable beds, impeccably clean and with perfectly manicured gardens (we used some fresh herbs in our BBQ one night) and so well equipped we didn't want for anything. Very safe and secure and the air cooling system was great for the heat. It's very quiet and private with an unbeatable view over the ocean. We were glad we rented a car for the stay (even though we didn't go far from the villa). Dimitris was a wonderful host and was always available to answer our messages and even helped us order takeaway from the local village one night. We loved our stay at the villa and can't wait to return one day!

A lovely house, exceptional outside spaces with barbecue/pizza oven area and really nice pool, and a knockout view. The elevated position- with the view and easy access to a range of beaches- definitely beat the alternative of a sea side location. What else - it’s nicer than the photos, the sailing recommendation was our highlight (we did the 4.5 hour afternoon trip on the bigger boat), local diving well organised but not a lot to see (stick to some good snorkeling), dinner cooked at home was good (but too much, and make sure they don’t rush), Cretan hillside breakfast was interesting, tasty and overwhelming (too much food again). The local beaches were really nice and Matala beach in the south worth the longer drive. Agios Nikolaos made a nice day trip, with the coastal drive to spinalonga island and milatos cave (with its history) worth adding on the way home (and gorge walk)

With the pool and the outside BBQ, you could easily spend the entire day there. The hostis extremely cordial and helpful. Just keep in mind that transportation requires a car.

Супруга в восторге! Комфортно и продумано. Прилетели утром в 9. В 10 нас встретил хозяин. Всё подробно рассказали показал. И далее мы были были предоставлены себе. Утром, до обеда отдыхали у бассейна, после обеда на пляж. Удобное расположение. Рядом порт, взяли экскурсию. До пляжа 20 мин на машине. Там же супермаркеты и магазинчик. Дом оборудован всем необходимым. Особенно полюбили готовить на мангале рыбу, мясо. Можно и не выезжать ни куда. Всё в восторге от отдыха. Если вам не нужны ежевечернии тусовки в городе, берите не задувываясь.

This is a luxurious home with extraordinary views over the Aegean Sea. The location, Rogdia village, is known as the "Balcony of Heraklion", a well deserved nick-name. It is only a 25 minute drive from the airport. The modern, virtually new villa is very large with spacious rooms and huge patios, decks and pool area. It is well furnished with many thoughtful touches. The four bedrooms have comfortable beds with good quality linens, individually controlled heating/cooling and large bathrooms. We enjoyed the well furnished kitchen and the outdoor barbecue area. For self-catering, Heraklion has several very good supermarkets. In addtion, there are good restaurants near the villa within walking distance. You cannot go wrong staying here.
