Στην άκρη της ζούγκλας, πάνω από ένα τεράστιο αμφιθέατρο ορυζώνων ρυζιού που καταρρέουν στο βαθύ φαράγγι του ιερού ποταμού Pakuseba και με πανοραμική θέα σε μια μακρινή κορυφογραμμή εννέα αρχαίων ηφαιστείων, η υπέροχη και εξαιρετικά ιδιωτική Villa Kelusa βρίσκεται στο Μπαλινέζικο πρόποδες κάτω από το πολύ μικρό, παραδοσιακό χωριό Kelusa.

Παρόλο που είναι σχεδόν ανέγγιχτο από τον σύγχρονο κόσμο, το Kelusa είναι επίσης εκπληκτικά λίγα λεπτά με τα πόδια από το λόφο στο Ubud, ένα πολύ μεγάλο, πολυσύχναστο χωριό, το οποίο, με τα παγκοσμίου φήμης εστιατόρια, τις παραστάσεις χορού, τις γκαλερί τέχνης και τις κοντινές 5- ξενοδοχεία αστέρων, θεωρείται το πολιτιστικό κέντρο του Μπαλί.

Το Villa Kelusa Bali συνδυάζει δύο ακίνητα, το Pondok Sapi (το υπόστεγο της αγελάδας) και το Pondok Surya (Sunset House), τα οποία μπορούν να ενοικιαστούν ξεχωριστά ή μαζί. Όλα τα υπνοδωμάτια, καθώς και οι χώροι καθιστικού και τραπεζαρίας, έχουν εκπληκτική θέα. Στα βόρεια, το Pondok Sapi πήρε το όνομά του από τα απανταχού υπόστεγα αχυρένιων αχυρώνων που βρίσκονται στις ζούγκλες και επίσης προστατεύουν τους αγρότες στις βεράντες τους με ρύζι και σχεδιάστηκε ως η ιδιωτική κατοικία ενός συνταξιούχου Αμερικανού συγγραφέα και δημοσιογράφου τηλεόρασης. Τρία ξεχωριστά κτίρια αποτελούν το Pondok Sapi: ένα γυάλινο στούντιο με δύο ευρύχωρα κυρίως υπνοδωμάτια και μια βιβλιοθήκη. ένα μεγάλο υπαίθριο περίπτερο με γκουρμέ κουζίνα και δωμάτιο πολυμέσων που μπορεί να μετατραπεί σε τρίτο πολυτελές υπνοδωμάτιο. και μια ιδιωτική καμπάνα ψυχαγωγίας με πισίνα υπερχείλισης και σαλόνι.

Το Pondok Surya, ή Sunset House, σχεδιάστηκε επίσης με ανοιχτή, πανοραμική θέα στους ορυζώνες, τη ζούγκλα και τα βουνά. Το Villa Kelusa Bali διαθέτει ένα μεγάλο υπνοδωμάτιο δεύτερου ορόφου με ιδιωτικό μπάνιο με βεράντα, υπνοδωμάτιο επισκεπτών και μικρότερη κουζίνα. Υπάρχει επίσης μια άλλη πισίνα υπερχείλισης που διατρέχει το σπίτι, χωρίζοντας τους χώρους διαβίωσης και ψυχαγωγίας.

Great resort - high quality materials reminded me of an Aman. They keep the grounds immaculate. The villas overlook a lush valley. The staff have been here for years and will look you after very well. Plus for animal lovers - there is a dog and cat on the grounds! We had a Balinese dinner here one night and the food from the cook (who lives in the village nearby) was excellent. Ubud is about a 10 minute drive away. So shopping and food is nearby. We didn’t want to leave the villa while we were there though!

The most perfect wedding location

We got married and stayed for a few days. Everything was perfect. The rooms, the staff, the lawns and other communal areas. I have zero bad things to say, it was just perfect.

Nothing short of spectacular! The views were so amazing and breathtaking. 7 of us stayed at Villa Kelusa the bedrooms spacious and gorgeous. We felt welcomed and right at home. The staff prepared breakfast every morning which was included in the price, the food was so delicious. Now lets talk about Wayan and his team!!! No request was too much Wayan was extremely accommodating every need was met every want was was given it was all handled and with a Smile and great willingness. Bali has many beautiful villas but i dont think i can bring myself to stay anywhere other than Villa Kelusa! One note whatever vision you have of this villa times that but 10 because no picture will ever do it justice. Villa Kelusa exceeded my expectations tremendously!

We booked our stay at this villa after seeing the amazing pictures online and I must say the pictures don’t do the villa justice. It is a breathtaking villa. The villa, located in a traditional village (not too touristy) gave a true sense of being in authentic Ubud. It accommodated my large group of 8, with 2 separate villas, 2 pools and exceptional views. The staff were so welcoming and on arrival gave us all tamarind juice followed by a tour of the property. We had breakfast included which was always delicious! And a few nights there we requested for the chef to prepare dinner, which was probably one of the best meals we had in Bali. Wayan was extremely accommodating of all our requests and went above and beyond to translate and confirm many activities my group wanted to do. I would recommend this villa to everyone and would stay here again!

The master bedroom has an amazing view of the rice terrace ,mountain caps(volcano). A hand carved deep soaker wood tub to start & finish the lazy Bali days is spectacular. Wayan and his team were genuinely attentive and helpful for all of our dining, car rental etc needs. Breakfast: black rice pudding was soothing, poached eggs are hard to do poorly and the mango smoothies topped us up for the days. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Bali for your beauty and thank you Wayan & team for helping us enjoy our first Bali stay.

we made the long trek form the united states looking for some relaxation and an immersion in balinese culture. we put a lot of effort to make sure our stay would be as close to experiencing the "heart" of bali as possible. villa kelusa delivered just that...and more. We stayed a week in this beautiful, peaceful retreat and i only dream of going back. when you think of a taking vacation in bali, the staff, the location, the beautiful property, the food and more were captured brilliantly at villa kelusa. from the moment you begin your drive up through the lush green jungle and rice patties to the moment you arrive in the open air living room of villa kelusa, you have already transported yourself into the heart of bali. just a short drive from the center of the buzzing town the home is just breathtaking as it sits on top of a ridge overlooking the valley. the manicured grounds have little stone balinese statues and the walls are adorned with the most tasteful selection of artifacts. they have managed to perfectly blend modernism with cultural bali. the rooms are beautiful with stunning views and impeccably clean. the beds are cozy... so much, you might get too much sleep there! you have options of indoor and outdoor showers and tubs which has just the most relaxing and healing spa-like feel. The infinity pool just takes your stay to the next level, the sun hits it so it's water is warm and if you need shade, step under the thatched pool house living room, a perfect reading spot. you will be taken care above and beyond by villa kelusa's family. sarayu is one of the top bali chefs who can whip up anything...we had the best salad dressings, italian food, indonesian food....and the breakfasts were just delicious! the staff does not forcibly " intrude" in your space, they are more like ghosts so it feels like you are at your own home. wayan who runs the property will get you anything you want, prepares you for your trips around town like providing sarongs for the temples and he comes with the wisdom of the best recommendations in ubud and in bali. he is so sweet and kind, he will take care of you better than any 5 star hotel butler ever could. would i recommend this place? absolutely, without a doubt! it will only be a short while before i come back to this magical place!

This place is just absolutely amazing. Should it just be hanging out in the villa the entirety of your stay or hanging around Ubud, this is THE villa to be. Would definitely re-visit. Two different buildings, 4 bedroom in total and 2 amazing pools…

Classy interior and the caretaker helped order dinner for us too! service level was impeccable, place is clean and pretty decent location too! would definitely recommend.

We spent 11 nights in april 2019. We were 8 people and rented both villas which also can be rented seperatly. The view from the Villa is absolutely amazing and the hole property fits into the surrounded nature. The beautiful pictures we saw before matched our experience. Both properties have nice rooms and a lot of space to relax. Every part of the Villa is well designed and in a good condition. But the most amazing part is the Staff. They made everything to make our stay unforgettable. Every drink we got from Putu was great, especially the mojitos were awesome. All of the meals Ayu and her team cooked for us were just great. The gardeners also took care of the surrounding every day. But Wayan, the Villa Manager, is a class on its own. With him we went cycling , walked through the rice paddys and also just explored the neighbourhood. He organized drivers and also made a reservation in Restaurants in Ubud. He was 24/7available for us. Once we lost our drone on an unattainable cliff, he made arrangements and we got the drone back. On the last day of our holiday I forgot my phone in a taxi and as soon as I contacted Wayan, he did everything to get the phone back. I received my mobile by DHL in switzerland this week. We can fully recommend to stay at Villa Kelusa and hope to find the time go there back again.
