Η Villa Shinta Dewi Ubud βρίσκεται στην άκρη του Tegallantang, ένα ήσυχο χωριό λίγο βόρεια του Ubud. The best Villa of all time!

We stayed at Villa Shinta Dewi for 4 nights and we wish it could have been forever! Ayu, Rajik, Hendra, Ari, Purnama and the lovely Gede took care of everything, everyday! We are a family of 5 and with 3 boys ages 10, 8 and 7 there was the perfect amount of space and things to do! We also ate dinner in the villa and it was DELICIOUS. The breakfast every morning was also amazing! With two free shuttle rides to town everyday nothing was too difficult for the driver, a quick stop to the Cocomart was no problem at all. The boys even went with Ayu and learnt about where and why they put out the offerings - they were amazed! The staff also organised a half day driver for the Bali zoo (a must - the boys fed a chicken to the tiger!!), shopping and lunch. An absolutely spectacular place to stay - we will be back!!!! Xxx

Fantastic villa

Amazing villa close to Ubud they provide a daily drip off which was great as the villa is not walking distance from Ubud centre, great amenities and pool, great choice of breakfast, and the staff really do go that extra mile for you, cannot recommend…

Girls Trip

This villa had 5 girls jaws drop as we walked in! Everything was very clean, set up beautifully and had wonderful staff welcome us, help with bags and give us an introduction into the villa. The rooms are very nice with plenty of amenities, toiletries…
This villa had 5 girls jaws drop as we walked in! Everything was very clean, set up beautifully and had wonderful staff welcome us, help with bags and give us an introduction into the villa. The rooms are very nice with plenty of amenities, toiletries, sewing kits, fresh fruit, bottled water, soda waters etc! This may be due to the villa being under new management, which we were advised of on arrival. The staff served an amazing breakfast every morning, coffee and juice, fresh fruit, toast/pastries and a meal of your choice (eggs, pancakes, avo toast, Nasi goreng), this was amazing!! We arranged fo staff to cook us dinner one night and it was very yummy, would recommend this! The staff were always happy to help arrange drivers, activities and cleaned the rooms every morning. If we were going from the villa to the centre of town, the staff would drive us in their brand new car, very comfy! Our only cons to the villa was: - we felt the staff hung around too much (maybe people love this, but we would have preferred time to tan topless or workout without an audience), don’t get me wrong they were all amazing and helpful. - the wifi did not work very well and did not reach bedrooms upstairs. - the treadmill did not work in the gym. - quite far from the centre of town and no shops around. - the pool does not get any sun until afternoon so the water is quite cool. Very nice place to stay and it was nice knowing their was a security staff member out the front during the nights.

Beautiful house with plenty of room for our family of 9 (5 adults, 4 children 10 and under). Kids LOVED the pool and the service by Wayan, Nong and others was great! Provided us with many ideas of things to do in the area, and set up reservations for us. House was very clean and updated. One of our best stays ever! We did need transportation to get to town, but would definitely stay there again.

We travelled in a group - two families with three kids altogether. The pick-up and drop off at the airport for us were fine, despite both our arrival and departure times being in the middle of the night. The villa is spacious, well equipped and has an amazing pool - the staff couldn't have been better. A huge thank you to Wayan, Ari, Putra, Gusti and chef. Breakfasts are substantial and delicious. The eat in option is reasonably priced and we had a lovely bar-b-q cooked for us on New Years Eve. Wayan's local knowledge and excellent English make organising day trips a treat, and his advice on everything from traffic to bike companies was spot on. Ubud itself is lovely with so manybthings to do we feel we have barely scratched the surface. The Waterbom Park is a must if you have children as is the bike ride (we used ECO tours) we cycled downhill from the volcano - just lovely to see Bali daily life as you cycle along. ECO tours also provided a delicious lunch at the end at their restaurant where they grown their own produce onsite - delicious. We also had a sunset meal on the beach (overpriced but no surprise as you do eat right on the beach with an unobstructed view of the sun setting). There are also options to do white water rafting, elephant tours, ziplining and quad biking so we will definitely return. BUT save time to spend at the villa - it is just lovely. Beautiful Villa

It didnt start off well from the airport, we were travelling with 6 adults +1 baby and 5 big luggages so a van came to pick us up fr the airport. It was a long walk under the hot sun and i had a baby in my sling carrier. Worst when i found out the baby car seat we booked thru the villa was not fixed on to the seat and the driver knw nothing about it. I informed ika (the person v deal with for booking and payment) few weeks in advance that the car seat should be fixed on before our pick up at the airport. So the car seat didnt seem to be compatible with the car. It was more than 1 1/2 hrs of me strapping on my baby in the sling carrier throughout the whole journey which made us really uncomfortable and v didnt feel safe at all. However the long and agonizing journey was all forgotten whn v reached the villa. Everyone was in love with the pool. We like how clean the villa is and the way its designed - very interactive and thoughtful. The pool was already baricated up since we have a baby but was easily removed whm v decided we didnt need it. Then we told them the problem with the car seat and they tried rectifying it. though it took them awhile to figure it out, they managed to get it fixed in the end. We then managed to use it everywhere v go even thru the taxi they helped us book. Wayan, Ari & another lady were very helpful and approachable. They helped us inflate 2giant swans and a giant slipper float for the pool. Its become obvious that v intend to spend alot of time in the pool which v did. My baby at 13mo enjoyed swimming with us in the big pool plus the water feels warm most the time. The room was spotless however the baby cot could have been better. Although it was fixed on with mosquito net but we didnt find the cot useful....it was more of a playpen turned into bed which my baby didnt wanna get in. So my baby co sleep with us and its all good too. They were occasions where we needed small lil things like tabasco sauce, lemongrass tea and these guys went n get it for us the next day. And 1night my hubby was having a gastric and Ari went out middle of the night to help us find med though he couldnt find it but i appreciated his help. The villa is so well managed that i didnt hv to worry bout mosquitos n bugs. We hv only met a gecko a lizard or 2 and a toad. Besides the difficulty of communicating w some of the staff the rest of the services are well deserving a 5 star rating. All thanks to Wayan who seems to be most helpful whn hes around. The dinner table was set nicely for us eventhough we brought back take-away fd. I also like how each area is well connected. I used the kitchen most the time preparing food for my lil one and i could still mingle with everyone else and the kitchen was only meant for guests so v dont get into each others way. We like the study area too with tv which we use for entertaining my baby when v hang around the living. It was glassed up so v could still see everyone else. The only thing i didnt like bout the villa's design was maybe the square table at the living area, the edges are sharp and seems dangerous for my baby. This villa is a gem and definitely won our hearts. Our family is already planning for our next trip back soon. Keep it up guys and thanx for the wonderful experience.

As beautiful as the villa was itself, what really made the place amazing was the people behind it. Wayan was a gracious host and guide, and was of great help and very accommodating to our needs. With his staff - Putra, Hendra, Artini, Ari, and others, our time at Shinta Dewi is one to never be forgotten! Everyone was kind and personable. Hats off to the chef Hendra who prepared more than satisfactory delectable meals, including our bbq one evening. They all deserve raises for their quality of work and service. Thank you guys for helping us create memories that will last forever! Till next time! Aloha

Our group of seven stayed here for 5 days and it was amazing! The staff was on point at all times! Breakfast was ready at the time we requested and we were able to get coffee and tea anytime we requested. We opted to get bbq at the villa obe night, and it was a very reasonable price (about $15USD per person). The stay also has awesome ammenities like a gym, infinity pool, free shuttle to ubud daily, and conceierge. After we took naps, our beds were made when we returned from lunch hahahaha. The staff was on 24/7 and everyone was helpful. The manager Wayan gave great reccomendations an set up all of our tours from us everyday! He was amazing, he also served as an interpreter at local vendors and the like. I can't wait to come back!

This was the first time we stayed in a villa (as opposed to a hotel) and we were not disappointed. From the first moment Wayan (our fabulous manager) greeted us, we felt like kings. We didn't realise we would actually have staff at hand all day every day so this was a pleasant surprise! The rooms were lovely and worked really well with 3 couples and 1 toddler. One very large master bedroom and 2 fairly small but lovely double rooms, all had their own ensuite, tv's and minibar. The large sitting area upstairs was nice for watching a movie and the downstairs study/4th bedroom was good for my daughter to retreat to to watch a movie. The little gym in the corner is actually pretty good! Only used by the boys in the house but was a nice addition There are some yoga mats there also. The pool area is beautiful and inviting. It was a little frisk sometimes so the pool could have been a wee bit warmer but not a big deal. Wayan and the team were always there to help us with anything we needed. Catering wise, the breakfast that was prepared for us each day was fabulous, as was the other food we ordered. We were a bit dissapointed by the included Balinese BBQ only because everything was extremely spicy that no-one could actually eat it. Just ask them to cook a meal with no chilli or curry powder. We chose to eat out most of the time as Ubud has amazing restaurants but but when we decided to stay in, we got home delivery which the staff were at hand to order for us and clean up afterwards. They had a Sonos music system which was a lovely addition. The team: I can't rate them highly enough. They were there but never intrusive. Wayan was amazing. Our rooms were made up every day and the grounds kept immaculate. The only thing we could have benefited from is a bit more help planning our days. Having some organised day tours with our driver would have been great and a folder we could flick through with recommended restaurants, tours, and upcoming local events. Proximity to Ubud centre: This was one of our concerns when booking but it wasn't went we left. Our driver dropped us into Ubud when we needed and getting a taxi back was always easy and only cost $5. escaping to the quiet villa after all the traffic in town was lovely. Little tip: get Wayan to organise yoga classes for you. We had a teacher come to the villa twice and it was fabulous!! All in all, this was a great place to stay and I wouldnt hesitate booking again.

The huge pool was a winner with the kids. We had two families stay here and there was plenty of room for everyone. Wayan and his team couldn't have been more helpful - brilliant team of staff. We loved the villa and Ubud and can't wait to return to both.
