Le finestre ei balconi di ogni piano offrono una vista panoramica sul promontorio di Kissamou e sulle colline che circondano il villaggio. È arredato con gusto e semplicità con pezzi d'antiquariato cretesi, riflettendo il gusto personale del suo attuale proprietario.

Arhontariki Villa Chania è composta da tre spaziose camere da letto con comodi letti matrimoniali al secondo piano, un'altra camera matrimoniale al primo piano e un altro letto matrimoniale nell'area soggiorno a pianta aperta al piano terra. Inoltre, al primo piano sono disponibili un grazioso soggiorno con camino, una zona pranzo e una cucina completamente attrezzata, mentre al piano terra sono disponibili un'area soggiorno a pianta aperta, un hammam, una sala fitness e una sala giochi. Arhontatiki Villa Chania offre in totale quattro bagni, uno con doccia al piano terra, uno con vasca al primo piano e due bagni, uno con doccia e uno con vasca al secondo piano.

Ci sono ampi balconi e verande, dotati di mobili da giardino, con vista mozzafiato sul mare e sulla campagna circostante. Il meraviglioso giardino con una grande piscina vista mare circondata da palme e limoni, buganvillee e tanti altri fiori e piante è un piccolo paradiso per gli ospiti.

We felt very welcomed by the host, who met us and made sure we had everything we needed. The location has amazing views looking out over olives orchards and then to the ocean beyond. Restaurant is a 5 min walk and we ate there twice it was so good. Very nice people throughout the village. The 3rd night we made pizza in the wood fired oven and hung out in the completely epic and private backyard space. Pool was well maintained, everything was clean, great kitchen. Excellent HQ to explore the multiple beach destinations nearby. We also checked out some wineries, olive oil factories and easily drove back and forth from Chania. A preying mantis even guarded the back porch from bugs...not that there were any. Highly recommended for families or groups.

Thanks for a wonderful out in your house, Fotini! A lovely gem located private and idyllically located. The laundry lady Bella came by so to speak every day and was a wonderfully sweet and helpful lady. The house was always clean.For the next ones to come I would recommend a parking space 2 minutes away. There are opportunities for parking right outside the home, but this one was always taken. Is also possible to back down the gate on the property itself, but this was cramped.We would be happy to come back to this lovely place! Really worth recommended.

When you stay here, it’s not just the house but the cafes, restaurants and views that form the experience. Everyone in the village took good care of us when they knew which villa we were staying in. Both the restaurants are gourmet quality with exceedingly generous and kind people running them. The house is AMAZING, every detail has been carefully considered. Fotini was always in touch, we had cleaning service every single day, the kids had a great time in the pool and the basement. We would wake up every morning to greet the sunrise with a bowl of Greek yogurt and local honey. There are beaches and paths and coffee shops and convenience stores nearby. What I will remember the most is the natural beauty, every angle and view no matter where you are is picturesque.

The Villa is set in a small lovely lively village with a great choice of taverna’s and close driving to a number of popular beaches. It has been beautifully renovated in a traditional Crete style. Though it has air conditioning throughout, the thick stone walls keep it cool and the terrace overlooking the pool was a great feature for evening drinks and eating.Though there is parking down the side of the property, unfortunately due to locals and tourists parking on the street it became impossible to use the driveway and we either parked on the street or in the village car park about 40 m away. Due to the very popular taverna next door to the property (which may be an issue for some, but was not for us) parking can get difficult, but we were never more than 40 m from the villa.The taverna next door is quite beautiful in both location and food and we found ourselves looking forward to eating there. The pool and outside area are a real plus to this villa and we spent many fun hours to the rear of the property (just a note for those with small children – the pool is 2m deep throughout except for the jacuzzi section). When not at the beach we found Falssarna Beach the best local beach due to the facilities and the waves which my teenage kids loved. There is a local beach called ‘Balos Beach’ which the locals rave about. However, it’s a 25 min walk from a carpark down a steep hill and it gets very full by 12 O’clock. My tip is to skip it and go to one of the many other great beaches in the area. Shopping is about 20 min drive to Kissamos, go to the first supermarket as you drive in on the left called ‘Kchinoplokakis’ for the best choice. Overall we had a great time at this villa and would not hesitate to recommend it to all. Anything that may sound negative is not meant to be but is simply a ‘heads up’ so as to increase your enjoyment of the villa.

The house is amazing, the decor is beautiful, the location is fantastic especially being so close to Balos beach which is incredible - we didn't know such beautiful lagoons existed in this part of the world! Fotini was a wonderful host, who communicated…
The house is amazing, the decor is beautiful, the location is fantastic especially being so close to Balos beach which is incredible - we didn't know such beautiful lagoons existed in this part of the world! Fotini was a wonderful host, who communicated well before the stay and kept in touch throughout dealing with the malfunctioning oven immediately. She even visited one evening with gifts for everyone - delicious cakes, Greek mementoes and even ice creams for the kids. We travelled with our 5 and 2 1/2 year old and both sets of grandparents and the set up suited us all very well. The little bakery/shop/cafe across the road is fantastic - run by Irene, an extremely friendly and helpful young lady who even brought our coffees to the door every morning and delivered us delicious, fresh, hot pizzas one evening. The Gramvoussa restaurant two doors down is also very handy for a decent meal and friendly staff.

The Villa is beautiful and ultra clean. The views from the bedrooms are memorable. The freshwater pool was an instant hit. The location was perfect for access to restaurants. We arrived at the villa around 11 pm and the family-run restaurant next door…
The Villa is beautiful and ultra clean. The views from the bedrooms are memorable. The freshwater pool was an instant hit. The location was perfect for access to restaurants. We arrived at the villa around 11 pm and the family-run restaurant next door served us an excellent meal which we very much enjoyed and made us welcome. It was great that we could also get takeaways from the different restaurants, The peace and quiet of the Villa and the environs were very much welcomed and we hope to return soon.
