We so enjoyed our stay in Villa Anthira. The hosts Haris & Katerina are amazing, so accommodating. We were 5 ladies away for a little res relaxation, and lots of sun and fun. They villa and surrounding area provided all. We also adored our trips to Chania and our hosts helped us organise a wonderful driver to take us. Thank you both again, wonderful memories made.

House equipment are fit for the house. The location is very good with all the services very close to it.

Due to the fact that we have rented different houses in different countries in the past few years, I can clearly say that Villa Anthira is a great and clean house. everything is very well maintained and well equipped. the very friendly reception by Katerina and Harris was great. the location to the, unfortunately, very rocky pebble beach is great. What is missing, however, are a few umbrellas by the pool for the loungers. what remains is the feeling of having spent a wonderful holiday in Villa Anthira. Thanks !!!

Had a great stay at Villa Anthira - Haris + Katerina are generous hosts and made us most welcome. Villa is spacious and comfortable. The pool and outside area is great for families. Location is excellent with bakery and coffee shop 150metres away. Supermarket 10 mins walk . Beach is 200m fron villa and excellent restaurants locally or in Kolymbari - Alexandros was a small family restaurant locally and Cafe Amfithea, Kolymbari was superb with great views. Small taverna off the beach is 600m walk from villa.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Anthira. It is a beautiful, well-appointed house, very comfortable and nicely furnished and well equipped. Harris and Katerina are excellent and very generous and helpful hosts. It is well situated for a short walk to the beach where the sea is beautifully clean and also to the local supermarket and bakery. We would thoroughly recommend this house for a perfect holiday.

My daughter and I spent a very happy 11 days at Anthira. It is a beautiful villa in an ideal situation within easy walking distance of the beach and the local supermarket and bakery. The house itself is beautifully furnished and equipped and very clean and comfortable. Haris and Katerina are excellent hosts, most welcoming and friendly. We will visit again.

Beautiful villa, lovely owners and lovely area!

It was nice and hot when we arrived on the 3rd of September, my lovely taxi man who had come back for us 2 hours later as plane was late was a lovely man giving us advice, I pre booked with 'welcome pickups', best to send them a google map of the villa…
It was nice and hot when we arrived on the 3rd of September, my lovely taxi man who had come back for us 2 hours later as plane was late was a lovely man giving us advice, I pre booked with 'welcome pickups', best to send them a google map of the villa as the road is not one they are used to. Best price taxi firm though. We were welcomed at the villa by Katrina and Harris the owners, again we were late because of the plane but not by that much, just let them know, they were lovely and as they guided us inside the villa Katrina explained where things were, she had made us a massive salad, bread rolls, their own wine and own Raki! I was pleasantly surprised! The villa was huge, it was spotlessly clean, towels were on every bed, you could pick tomatoes in the garden and lemons. The pool was huge, all one depth but that was fine as my husband cannot swim, it was lovely to jump in to as it was quite hot walking around so brilliant to come back to after going out. There are shops at the top of the road, a bakery with cashpoint and 4 supermarkets about a 2 minute walk, if you walk for about another 10/15 minutes further up there are 2 big supermarkets 'AB' and 'Kazazakh', you can get fresh meat, pizzas, hams, all sorts, go in your car if you have one or wait until the sun has gone down or you will bake, unless the weather is not in the high 20's! We walked everywhere or took the bus, as you are just off the main road for buses to Chania, it takes about half an hour. Kolymbari/Kolymvari bay is just up past the supermarkets about a half hour walk via road and hot weather, or you can go via the beach at the other end of your road but may take longer trying to walk on pebbles there is a back road you can take which is quicker! There are lots of Tavernas there, we had one favourite as the food was presented like you were in a Michelin star restaurant and tasted great, good prices to, it was called 'Ev EHadi' . Our favourite Taverna though was at the end of our road and turn left walk about 7 minutes and it is there, 'Alexandros'! Lovely place, we went about 5 times, we fell in love with Mama Maria! It is a must! Anyway the villa is lovely very good price, there are new resorts around and you will here music at night from around 8pm to 11.30, it was nice and did not bother us unless they played English songs! We like the Greek music! The road the villa is on is a quiet back road but the road everyone uses to walk to the beach, did not bother us and I think everyone who passed thought we were movie stars! So great villa, good location for everything, 30 minutes by taxi from airport, and near all amenities. Harris will come out if any issues like we forgot the key and locked ourselves out and he was there very quickly! So thankyou to Katerina and Harris lovely people and made us very welcome.

We spent a wonderful two week vacation at lovely Anthira Villa in August 2018. We are a family of five and had a great time. The Villa's rooms are all on the first floor and provide plenty of space. Everything was very clean and in great shape. A special mention goes to the well equipped kitchen with nice tableware and cutlery and beautiful glasses for all occasions (no missing pieces and no cheap-style/plastic as is sometimes the case in other places). There is one big balcony/terrace with a dining table (as on the pictures) that you access through the family room, but also smaller balconies next to the kitchen as well as to all three bedrooms, thus providing different views over the entrance area, the pool, the big yard and even a glimpse of the sea. Even though its not very far from the road (+/- 150 m), it is very quiet, peaceful and private. The only real neighboring building is 50m away on the road side. The pool area is on the sea side and the only "visitors" may be hotel guests walking down to the beach, but even they can hardly glimpse over the drywall. The pool is bigger than we thought from the pictures (probably about 10 m long) and there were sunbeds/deck chairs for everyone (although there are only two visible in most pics ...). Another special mention goes to the beautiful lighting concept, which makes the Villa and the pool look like a little castle/château in the evenings. And also indoors there are some very creative & beautiful ideas with direct and indirect lighting options. Only downside is that you need to master the meaning of about 20 light switches, but that's well worth it ;). We loved sitting outside on the warm summer evenings and enjoying the sea breeze, the sounds of the waves and the lights. Katerina and Haris are really great hosts and actually exceeded our expectations from the first minute. Although our flight was delayed and we only arrived around 22:30 at night, Katerina was not only awaiting us in the Villa but had a whole set of Cretan specialties waiting for us: Feta & other cheeses, pastries, bread and homegrown tomatoes as well as homemade red wine, Raki and fruit juices. So our worries about where to get dinner were gone and we enjoyed the welcome meal instead. Katerina cleaned the house and Haris took care of the pool whenever needed and they were always available for any needs of us. They offered us to use their garden as well and we "harvested" fresh tomatoes and cantaloup/galia melon twice during our stay (this, of course, depends on the season). The tomatoes were some of the best I ever had and I probably ate 5-10 every day. Finally, a couple of recommendations in the area: A restaurant we really enjoyed was Restaurant Bar Alexandros, just a 5 min walk up to the road and left. Great food and hospitality. We were there four times and not the least our kids loved playing with the hosts' own kids. The supermarket we preferred was INKA supermarket, right at the first crossroads in Kolymvari. And probably somewhat of an insider (for as long as they offer it): There is a new 5-star AI hotel (Euphoria Resort) a few hundred meters down the road. If you walk up to the reception (it's not offered online), you can get a day pass for their big water park, all pool areas, All Inclusive for the day on all pool & snack bars (waffles, soft ice, souvlaki, Cocktails etc.) and an Italian buffet lunch. It was 155.- Euros for the five of us and well worth it.

Katerina and Haris are great hosts. They welcomed us at the house in spite of delays, and were forthcoming and heartly. During our stay, we were even treated with home made meals, fresh fruit from their garden, and tons of flexibility. Katerina cleaned the house for us twice during our stay, and that was a great help. Haris came by to clean the pool, and they were both kind to let us know in advance when they would show up. We enjoyed our stay at the house enormously, and will for sure come back at a later time. Ps. The pool is even better than what is shown at the pictures.

Огромная благодарность Катерине И Харису. Наш отдых на вилле «Антира» был великолепным. Отдыхали с середины июня до 5 июля, семьей из 5 человек. Очень довольны. В доме есть все, что необходимо. Прекрасное расположение. Замечательная обстановка. Спокойное тёплое море. Все необходимое в шаговой доступности. Однозначно советуем это место для проживания 5-6 человек. Сами тоже с удовольствием и радостью вернёмся туда. Хозяева отзывчивые, всегда готовы помочь и дать какие то необходимые советы.
