One week with friends at Villa Nota

Nota and Spyros are very helpful and nice hosts. They gave us many advices for groceries and spots to visit. The villa was perfect and the cleaning service was very efficient.

We were looking for a house in Crete for a short 1 week holiday with our family of 9 (my wife and I, our children and 2 grandchildren). In e-mail contact with Unique we were reminded of villa Nota. The presentation on their website appealed to us a lot. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Nota & Spyros with a large basket of local delicacies (fresh fruit, bread, sweets and snacks etc.) and the fridge was filled with spirits. We were immediately impressed by the beautiful location of the beautiful spacious and well-equipped villa, the large garden, the swimming pool and the beautiful view of the mountains and the sea. Spyros had booked a local restaurant for us for the first evening. In the middle of the week Nota & Spyros made us a delicious moussaka. A cleaning team also came to clean and all linen and towels were changed. The pool was also cleaned twice. The owners were very helpful and the contact with them was quick. We enjoyed the wonderful restaurants and friendly people in the 2 small, relaxed villages Kalyves and Almyrida with beautiful beaches about 1-2 km away. Also from the beach at ca. 500 m. where mainly locals come. We also enjoyed a boat trip with Kalyves Cruises. Yannis and his colleague were very friendly. He made a delicious cocktail and delicious fruit snacks and even a bed for our grandchild in which he slept wonderfully for an hour. Our vacation at Villa Nota was relaxing and comfortable, we felt at home. Spyros and Note were fantastic hosts, Thanks again!I would definitely recommend everyone a stay here. To Nota & family, all the best and stay healthy. Who knows, if we have the possibilities we'll meet again, bye bye.

We stayed in Villa nota for 9 nights. Spyros and Nota were perfect hosts from the minute we arrived. The transfers were efficient and comfortable and the villa perfect for our holiday. The villa is huge, light and cool! The welcome parcel of food and drinks was a nice touch on arrival. The traditional Greek food cooked by Nota for us one evening was delicious! The villa is a 10-15 min walk in to Almyrida where you’ll find restaurants, bars, supermarket, butcher and bakery. I’d highly recommend this villa to a large family or group of friends looking for a relaxing holiday in a spacious, clean and comfortable villa.

My family group of 9 stayed at Spyros' home for about two weeks around the Christmas/New Year holiday season. Spyros was the very definition of an incredible host. Right from the beginning, he offered to pick my family up from the airport in Chania at no cost. Upon reaching his home, we found he had put in several thoughtful touches throughout that made the place warm and welcoming and captured the holiday spirit. The physical layout of the home and space - indoor and outdoor was perfect for us: the right balance of communal spaces to hang out and play, and private spaces to retreat to. It was also within a short drive to to two small towns for day to day needs, a beach as well as a hiking trail for some outdoor activity. Cleanliness was on point: a professional cleaning crew came to the house every couple of days and not only cleaned the place but refreshed bedroom linen, as well as kitchen and bathroom supplies. Throughout our stay, he very generously brought us various care packages including locally produced honey, olive oil, bread, various Cretan snacks and even a bottle of champagne for the New Year. Spyros availability and willingness to help was above and beyond all expectations. On two occasions, when my family was stuck in the kitchen trying to decipher some cooking recipes that were in Greek, his wife readily physically came to the kitchen to help us figure it out. On another occasion, we asked if there was an electronics store nearby from which we could buy a laptop power cable that we needed - Spyros not only responded with urgency but offered to do the errand run himself at no cost to us. The list of extraordinary acts of kindness and hospitality goes on and on... In short: I very highly recommend his home and his hospitality without reservation.

We arrived at 11.30pm Spy rod and Nita were there to greet us and show us around their stunning villa. They had left supplies - bread, milk, wine, soft drinks, and Nota had prepared a beautiful meal for us. The villa itself is just beautiful with amazing views and just a short taxi ride away from some stunning beaches. What made the holiday so incredible was Spyros and Nota themselves. They couldn’t do enough for us and were so helpful and friendly and when we came back from a day at the beach the cleaners had been in, villa was spotless and Nota had made us a cake! Thank you Spyros and Nota for the most amazing holiday We will definitely return xx

We have been on villa in july 2018 with two families (4 adlts & 4 kids). First of all I want to say many thanx to Nota and Spyros! This pretty couple made our vacation bright and full of hospitality. Villa is wonderfull with a big green territory and swiming pool. Place is quiet, without any noises - great place for living with a kids. Villa has big sunny kitchen, 4 bedrooms and big living room. Everything is made with love and attention to the details. We rented a car and went to the beaches nearby. It took us 7-10 mins to get there. There are also pretty restaurants and cafes. Spyros also helped us to book a table in some restaurants - thanx again)) Our vacation was lazy because of great tiredness. And this place made it as relaxing as we wanted it to be. Best wishes to villa, Nota and Spyros! Best memories for us. Hope to see u again! Your Moscow friends forever! :)

Fantastic villa in a breath taking hillside position

The villa sits within walking distance of Almyrida and a short taxi ride/bus ride to Kalyves. both small towns have everything you need for your stay - shops, tavernas, takeaways and beautiful beaches, although my favourite was the beach just 600m from the villa. I'd recommend car hire to travel along the coast lines or up into the gorges and mountains with spectacular views. There is a regular bus into Chania. The villa is beautifully appointed and loving cared for by the owners. It has 4 bedrooms, sleeping up to 10. there are 3 balconies and 2 terraces affording good shade with a fully fitted kitchen and dining area plus a huge living space including TV, wifi and all that you would expect in a superior property. Outside is lawned with a lovely terrace, eating and barbeque area and a pool area. Really spacious and idea for children and adults alike. The owners are really attentive and can help with trips, car hire etc. Transport from and to the airport is included. Our stay here was relaxing and extremely comfortable, a real home from home feel. Spyros and Nota were fantasic hosts. I would highly recommend a stay here.
