Kyriaki and Eric were gracious hosts, accommodating this group of 6 in their beautiful villa! They met us at a nearby location to ensure ease of passage through narrow winding streets to arrive at their amazing hilltop villa. Upon arrival we were met with a modern, spacious villa that provided unobstructed views of the town, sea and beyond. The villa provided all the amenities and more to ensure a most comfortable stay. There were a plethora of restaurants in the immediate vicinity with breathtaking views and endless beach front tavernas/restaurants as well. The hosts shared the “fruits of their labor” with provision of their own grapes, citrus fruits, raki, wine and more. Using the juicer to make fresh orange juice is a must. Kyriaki was very responsive and provided a variety of suggestions for dining and shopping experiences. Would highly recommend, especially to those who don’t mind a short inclined hike into town to enjoy “freddo cappuccinos”, pastries, and the beach.

Kyriaki & Erriko welcomed us personally and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The villa is immaculate, beautifully designed, and has the most incredible views we've ever experienced. Perched atop a steep hill, every single step is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, mountains, and sunsets. We'd stay here again for the views alone. The thoughtful touches, local treats (Raki, Red wine and olive oil) and wonderful recommendations made our stay even more special. They genuinely care about their guests, and it shows. If you're visiting Crete, this place is an easy recommendation; the wonderful hosts are the cherry on top. We'd return in a heartbeat.

The Villa in Platanias booked through Unique Villas GR is an absolute must. This was our first time to Crete/Greece, as such, we weren’t exactly sure what to expect… but what I can say with absolute certainty was our experience exceeded any and all expectations. From the moment we arrived the hosts and Unique Villas GR were nothing but accommodative and communicative. The Villa was absolutely gorgeous overlooking the town of Platanias. The hosts greeted us at a local restaurant and personally directed us to the Villa to ensure a smooth and safe arrival… they even went as far as stocking the fridge with fresh water and some local beer alongside presenting us with farm fresh eggs, oranges, wine, raki etc., provided us with all sorts of recommendations, and made themselves extremely available and accessible throughout the duration of our stay. Our host even invited us down to her shop and gifted us a souvenir to take back. Great hospitality, great villa and great experience!

We could not be more pleased that we stayed at Kyriaki & Erriko’s home during our stay to the Chania area. Right from the start they communicated proactively with me. They offered to meet us at a nearby restaurant so that we would be able to find the home. It is on top of a beautiful hill overlooking the ocean and mountains. We could see both sunrises and sunsets from one of the decks. They spend a good amount of time explaining what there is to do and even suggested to make reservations at a restaurant they love. For good reason! The home is stunning with plenty of space. The fridge and cupboards were stocked with some provisions (even some homemade Raki, wine and olive oil!). We were treated like family staying at their home. So here is my recommendation: If you desire an area close to the beach, Chania, stunning views, clean and well-stocked home, peaceful, walking distance to shops /restaurants and hosts that truly care about you, you need to book this place now!

The views are breathtaking. We kept the huge sliding glass wall open most of the time so that we could experience the unobstructed view of the city and ocean.Best of all are the hosts. Kiki and Erikkos are wonderful people. They’ve lived in Crete all their lives, so they share a wealth of knowledge. Kiki quickly responded to all requests and provided excellent local recommendations when asked.Our family’s visit was magical and I’d stay with them again any time.

Our stay at Kyriaki and Erriko’s house was absolutely fabulous - the house is extremely clean, the rooms are big and the living space is spacious with the most amazing view! you can see that they have put a lot of love and effort into the home. Even beautiful small touches like using errikos grandfathers old barrels as flower vases make the place that extra bit special. On top of this, when we arrived the kitchen was well stocked, along with homemade Cretan tsikoudia, honey, red wine and oregano - and they were even kind enough to drive down the road to pick up dinner for us the first night as we got in late and had a small child. They also took us on a tour of their olive and grape groves, along with dinner at a very local tavern. These personal touches are what we really appreciated and are evidence of Cretan hospitality at its finest. The house is located in a great spot in the very local and charming village of ano platanias, close to delicious restaurants. We will be back!!

This was our third visit to this villa - we love staying there. The views are spectacular - the terrace is the best place to spend a morning. For the evenings, there are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance, where you can see the fabulous sunsets. This time, our trips included the Botanic Gardens, Ravdoucha Beach, Chania and Lake Kournas. The house is perfect - it is clean and wonderfully well stocked. Beds are comfortable. Kiki and Erikos are truly wonderful hosts - they have shown us such kindness and have made our holidays far better - we have seen parts of Crete that we wouldn’t have found without their suggestions. We look forward to returning.

There is also a supermarket at the bottom of the hill. Kiki is an amazing host she welcomed us when we checked in and went over how things in the house work! She was so sweet and answered so many of my questions before we ever met, as it was my first time in Greece! Kiki had us stocked for the first day (bread, eggs, cheese, tea,and water) She recommended many great restaurants and even made us a reservation to one in which we were treated extremely well (Mylos). If you are looking for a beautiful home and a great time get ahold of Kiki! We were a party of 5 woman and there was more than enough space! There are also many shops and beaches near by! They also arranged for airport transfers. The hill to go to house was fairly steep and a bit slippery, but that's why you get the amazing views! there's on site parking or you can park in a free parking lot down the hill. The house was spacious, the beds were really comfortable. The terrace was a favorite hangout place, shaded, with cicadas singing, and of course, the views! There are also good restaurants really close nearby and the area felt very safe.

This beautiful home is perched on a hill overlooking the sea and Platanias town from every room. Very comfortable living with many outdoor areas to take advantage of the views and sun. Once we got the precise location we drove through the narrow winding street lined with small restaurants (a bit of a tricky drive at first) to be greeted by our lovely hosts. The house was stocked with fruit, eggs, pastries, bread, sandwich meat and cheese, Cretan honey and tea, and home made olive oil, wine, and raki- so amazing! They made us feel like family and couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful with recommendations. Platanias is lively and on the touristy side but our spot on the hill was quiet and private. Local beaches are decent. Platanias was not as close to Chania as we thought so we tended to stay more in the area than we anticipated. We hope to be back to this beautiful part of the world and see our gracious hosts again!

The hosts were warm and generous like we’ve never experienced. In addition to the stunning home, they did little things you don’t expect (like olive oil, tsipouro and wine from their orchards). The location is stunning with a view of sunrise AND sunset. We went off season, so the award winning butcher at the bottom of the hill was a big plus, as was the nice grocery store. The top of the bluff to the home would be a challenge for a car larger than our VW T-ROC. Don’t miss the church and WWII War Memorial within a short walk.It’s rare that what we expected was exceeded by what we experienced. This is likely the best property in Platanias with awesome hosts.

This villa is just fantastic! Kyriaki and her husband were so kind and showed us outstanding hospitality. They escorted us to the property to ensure that we wouldn't get lost following the gps instructions, and left us with a kitchen stocked with pastries, eggs, coffee, wine, olive oil, and oranges to make fresh orange juice. They also gave us helpful suggestions for restaurants, and sights to see in the local area. We were traveling with an infant and they even made sure to set up a high chair and crib for us. The house was absolutely immaculate and decorated beautifully and had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The view of the ocean from the living room is incredible and there are multiple balconies where you can sit and enjoy the scenery for hours. The house was in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but just a short walk away from the shops, restaurants and beaches. This place is perfect and I would highly recommend staying here!

I highly recommend having Kyriaki schedule your taxi for you in advance due to the location of the villa, otherwise, you'll likely get dropped off in the incorrect location. The villa is even more beautiful than the pictures capture. Each room has an abundance of space along with a great view. Couple of notes: This villa is located about 30ish minutes away from the Chania airport and the same distance/amount of time from the 1866 Square in Chania. Platanias has an abundance of restaurants and cute shops to spend a day sightseeing. Golden view is located on the very top of a hill so that you can get these breathtaking views, so you'll have about a 10-minute walk from where you are located to the main street. You won't regret booking this space and I can't wait to come back.

Me and 4 of my friends stayed in golden villa for 7 days and it could not have been better. The stunning view of the balkony will surprise you again every morning. The terrace with the big desk will allow you to have a perfect morning breakfast and dinner in the evening with your friends and family. The rooms are modern, big and very clean. The host kiki and her husband were amazing people and provided us with good information for activities, explanations and were always there if we had questions or problems. They even gave us selfmade grapes, whine and Raki as welcome presents on our first day and filled up our fridge with everything we needed for the 1-2 days, prior to our arrival. All of us loved our vacation at the golden view villa and would fully recommend a stay at the beautiful seaview villa!

The location is great, pictures don’t do it justice and there are multiple restaurants within walking distance up to the villa.

We had an amazing time at Kyriaki’s place! Our hosts were very proactive with communication, they gave us a ton of recommendations for where to eat/drink and which beaches to go to and they were very friendly and welcoming. Kyriaki was very responsive when we had any questions and eager to help with anything we needed. Her and her husband personally greeted us at the house at check in and showed us around and did the same for check out. They let us check out later than the original time and were flexible with the check in time as well. The house itself has an incredible view, the rooms were spacious and clean and each have their own bathroom and private balcony. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house is conveniently located in a small town that is walkable. They have parking at the house which is super convenient. We highly recommend this house especially if it’s your first time in Crete! We will be back!

Beautiful, modern, spacious property that sits high on hill overlooking the beach town of Platanias. Amazing views, including sunrise from Master bedroom. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and beaches in lower Platanias. Numerous nice restaurants with rooftops views within steps of the place in the quaint village of upper Platanias. Our favorite was Cosmos. Hosts stocked the fridge and provided nice microfiber beach towels and of course the Cretan tradition of Raki!Would definitely stay again, highly recommend!!

We all felt fortunate we were able to have this experience. The villa itself is very modern and has been tastefully designed and furnished. It's equipped with everything you need plus extras you may not expect like a modern washer/dryer and BBQ/grill that works great, and central air with individual room controls. The view is incredible, both of the ocean as well as the surrounding countryside. The location is perfect, we appreciated how quiet and peaceful it was up on top of the hill overlooking Platanias, yet it's still an easy walk down to the busy main street and beach. There are a number of restaurants very close by as well such that you don't even have to walk down the hill if you don't want to. Beyond this, the owners, Kyriaki and Erricos, are such wonderful and generous people. We took them up on their offer to give us a tour one evening. This is purely optional, but if it sounds appealing to you don't hesitate to do so, as it is offered purely out of the kindness of their heart and pride for their community. Beyond the pure aesthetic appeal of staying at the villa, we felt we were able to authentically experience the Cretan way of life. We wish we could have stayed longer, and would love to come back someday.

Alloggio bellissimo situato nella parte alta di Platanias. La villa è arredata in stile moderno ed è fornita di tutto quanto si possa immaginare necessario per un soggiorno a 5 stelle. L'accoglienza è stata eccezionale, visto che i proprietari ci hanno aspettato (causa ritardo aereo) ed accolto in maniera ineccepibile facendoci trovare un piccolo rinfresco di benvenuto, un cesto di frutta ed il necessario per la colazione del giorno dopo. Unica attenzione da prestare e quella di non seguire Google Maps perché nella parte finale si perde per le stradine di Platanias. Quando torneremo a Creta ritorneremo sicuramente qui. Consigliatissimo.

Il nostro soggiorno presso Golden view villa è stato molto bello. La casa appare nuova e arredata molto bene. Bella l'illuminazione delle stanze, le camere sono grandi e con grandi finestre che offrono una vista magnifica. Anche la cucina e tutti gli elettrodomestici sono molto funzionali. Ci sono televisori e aria condizionata dappertutto. Davvero molto bello. La cosa che più ci ha colpito sono però le due terrazze, dove abbiamo cenato spesso e fatto la prima colazione: un panorama bellissimo e una grande tranquillità, nessun rumore. Solo un giorno c'era troppo vento per poterle utilizzare. La posizione della casa è pure molto positiva: in alto, si può vedere il mare, e si trovano buoni ristoranti a pochi passi, si può andare a piedi, senza usare l'auto. Per le spiagge più belle, invece, l'automobile è proprio necessaria, purtroppo. La signora Kyriaki è stata veramente molto gentile e ci ha aiutato tutte le volte che abbiamo avuto bisogno di qualcosa. Così pure suo marito. Li vorrei di nuovo ringraziare. Un cordiale saluto,

This was an excellent place to stay and to have a relaxing holiday. The house is located in an old historic village, with a marvelous view over Platanias and the ocean. In the morning you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the balcony. We were welcomed by the owners of the house who were extremely friendly and caring. They offered us home made wine, grape fruits and figs from their own farm, and the fridge was already filled with breakfast groceries before we arrived. The villa is very well designed and the quality is really high. Staying here with a big family or three couples is not a problem. Many thanks to the host we had a very nice visit and would come back if we plan to come to Crete again.

My family would strongly recommend this property. We loved our stay here. Platanias is wonderful. The views are beautiful. It is a newly refurbished property that has been finished to a very high standard, with great attention to detail. Everything is new and clean. The hosts were perfect: they could not have been nicer to us. The house is located very close to several restaurants that served great food and were amongst the highest-rated local restaurants on TripAdvisor. The main tourist area of Platanias, with its beach, bars and restaurants, is only a 10 minute walk away. The house is far enough away to ensure that it is in a very quiet and peaceful spot. The house was very well fitted out with everything you could require. Our hosts also provided all the essentials in the house – bread, butter, fruit, coffee, wine etc, which was great as it meant we didn’t have to immediately go out and find a supermarket (there is a supermarket only 5-10 mins walk away). The owners of the property, Kyriaki and Errikos, made us feel like part of their family and could not have been nicer. They even showed us around some beautiful areas around the Chania area, including tours of their family farms. I don’t think we have ever felt so welcome. When we arrived from the airport, it was tricky to find the house - we arrived late at night and were not helped by maps ignoring one-way streets, so I would suggest ringing Kyriaki as you reach Platanias - you could meet at the church close to the house so she and her husband can help you navigate the last few metres. But don’t worry - Platanias is a small place and it is not far to the house. I loved sitting outside on the terrace in the morning. We had perfect blue skies and lovely warm weather all week. It was such a relaxing place to stay.

It's difficult to express how much we loved staying in this home for 7 amazing days. We arrived late because of flight delays but Kiki and Errikos greeted us with a tour of the home and big smiles to welcome us after a long day in airports. The hosts gave us a large basket of fruit, a well-stocked fridge with everything we needed for the first 2 days, including a bottle of wine, raki, and the best olive oil I’ve ever had! The home is absolutely stunning with a warm décor that made it feel like our own home! It sits on the highest hill in Platanias with great restaurants only a few steps away shopping and beach are just down the hill. With large windows and bug screens in every room we let the fresh breeze in from the sea blow through the house in the evening, Barbequed on the very large grill, ate in the outdoor dining area and enjoyed the fantastic sunset! The hosts thought of everything, even a very large first aid kit (which I did use after a small incident at a rocky beach) the appliances were brand new and an amazing air conditioning system was in all of the rooms. A dedicated parking spot in front of the home makes it easy to take trips to the surrounding towns and beaches without worrying about where to park when you return. Errikos and Kiki are always available if we wanted restaurant advice, the best beaches, shopping, literally anything. We spent a weekend morning with the hosts on a tour of the area, visiting the sights, seeing their fruit and olive orchards, and ate a lovely lunch together. We will definitely be back to stay with Kiki and Errikos again! We made friends for a lifetime in Crete!

Erykos and Kyriaki were the most welcoming of hosts and we were shown the finest demonstration of Greek hospitality. From a personal tour of Biolea olive oil manufacture, to touring the Crete countryside, and eating in a restaurant Mylos that has been around since 1402. We were introduce to their friends all over town who gave us the Presidential treatment. They both made our first visit to Greece one to remember for a lifetime. There were a plethora of restaurants in the immediate vicinity with breathtaking views and endless beach front tavernas/restaurants as well. The hosts shared the “fruits of their labor” with provision of their own grapes, citrus fruits, raki, wine and more. Using the juicer to make fresh orange juice is a must. Kyriaki was very responsive and provided a variety of suggestions for dining and shopping experiences. Would highly recommend, especially to those who don’t mind a short inclined hike into town to enjoy “freddo cappuccinos”, pastries, and the beach.
