Everything was simply wonderful...

The villa was exactly as described or as shown in the photos, everything was simply wonderful. Exactly what we were looking for: the tranquility, a great view, beautiful pool and a very well-equipped accommodation. We didn't miss anything here. On site…

Exactly what we were looking for: the tranquility, a great view, beautiful pool and a very well-equipped accommodation. We didn't miss anything here. On site we were looked after by WA by Kostas, he responded immediately at any time and helped us very well. We especially liked the spacious terrace furniture to enjoy long evenings. PS: We were on site for 11 days, the accommodation was cleaned twice (!) during this time, including Change of towels. We have never experienced this in other accommodations - GREAT. The "pool boy" was also there twice and cleaned the pool.

We cannot praise this place highly enough! If you stay here you will need a car which means that you can also check out Matala beach which also became a favourite hang out spot for us. We’ve just returned from a wonderful and relaxing week at this Villa (the first villa of the 3). Maria-Ioanna & Kostas are fantastic hosts - very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The villa is in a beautiful peaceful location but close enough by car to 2 lovely towns that it didn’t take long to nip to a lovely taverna. The villa is spotless and had everything we needed for a great stay. The pool is glorious - we paid for heating it for the week (travelled with our 2 young sons and they feel the cold in the water) and it was perfect for us. The boys loved playing in it (as did we) and it’s a really decent length so we could all do some laps. The outdoor space is amazing and perfect for chilling with a glass of wine in the evening. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The pool was extremely popular with the children. We also used the tennis court. Above all, Kostas was super helpful when we had a medical problem. We very much enjoyed the week in Kalamaki. There is also a lot to do in the area: visit Phaestos and Gortys…
The pool was extremely popular with the children. We also used the tennis court. Above all, Kostas was super helpful when we had a medical problem. We very much enjoyed the week in Kalamaki. There is also a lot to do in the area: visit Phaestos and Gortys, including the new museum, visit the bay of Matala, hike a gorge to the bay of Agiofarango and eat well. The Mystical View (Kommos Kedraki) is highly recommended for the sunset.

We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a very calm and relaxed week. Everything was fine. We also had housekeeping midweek and the whole house was cleaned.The wifi was really bad and the screen door was hard to open/close but the rest was super.We really enjoyed our stay.

Everything is more than thoroughly cleaned and the hostess was so kind and helpful with checking in and giving us pointers of what to see in the area. the place itself is very cute and the perfect villa ! bed was comfortable and so we're the pillows. i loved the outdoor area. be aware, it does get windy in July/August so definitely check the weather. this is more of an island vibe place. locals and tourists and very chill and relaxed. both Tympaki and Matala have beautiful beaches with umbrellas and restaurants lined up. but i loved Matala with the caves. all in all it was a beautiful place to visit.

Thank you Maria-Ionna and Kostas for hosting us at this gorgeous villa. Nestled in the hills of southern Crete with stunning views of the sea, it really is a place for peace and relaxation. Though the villages of Kamilari and Kalamaki are within walking distance, we took the hosts advice and hired a car to get about using taking their recommendations as inspiration. The villa we just as lovely as the pictures suggest with the view even better. The pool was perfect and we really appreciated it being cleaned (twice) during our stay and having the option of new towels. The welcome tray was a lovely touch and the kitchen that was well equipped for a short stay. Thank you so much. We hope to visit again!

Thank you very much for a lovely stay. The villa is as described and is beautiful. All amenities you could wish for are thee and the view is to die for! The pool is amazing at 10m long and a good consistent depth of 1.4m. You really need a car to make best use of seeing the local area. The beach is a 6 minute drive away and two sun beds and an umbrella are 10 euros for the day. All the restaurants in Kalamaki are great and a meal for two was under 40 € with drinks. Thank you so much for a fabulous holiday Maria-Ioanna and Kostas.

The welcome was perfect, always available by offering good places to visit the sites in Crete and eat around. We were very happy with our choice for this villa and thank infinitely the welcome and kindness of Marina and Kostas.

The villa left nothing to be desired. 14 days of pure rest and relaxation.

The location was awesome. We had our privacy with a private pool and could be at the beach, the mini market or various restaurants in a few minutes. There is something for every taste. The hosts gave us a number of recommendations. Simply tip top!!!…

The four of us spent a week in the villa and the place was perfect for 4 people - the bathrooms a little tight but totally ok!The hosts were easily accessible and also came by to answer any questions. The house was very clean and the cleaning lady came by halfway through the week and cleaned the house and brought fresh laundry. The pool was also maintained.The house is clean and well furnished, the outdoor area is large, you have shady spots almost all day and the pool was great!Kalamaki can be reached on foot in 25 minutes and by car in 5 minutes. There is a great beach (with shady spots thanks to trees) with many restaurants, bakeries and shops.Renting a car is a must!

We had a great stay and we really liked the modern accommodation with the nice pool and the great view. Maria-Ioanna was very helpful with everything and always responded easy and quickly. We felt us very much at home and we will hopefully come back…

We had a great 2 week stay with the family in this beautiful house with private pool and sea views.

Great location, on the heights of Kalamaki. The village of Matala, a few km away, is more touristy and was very pleasant for the end of the day. Thanks to Mariyanna for the quality of the service and her responsiveness to our requests. A big thank you to Kostas, for his kindness and availability when we encountered a problem with our rental car. He went out of his way to reach a garage and make sure the battery was changed, which was out of service. He even took us to Matala to pick up our car. A mention also for the cleaning lady, very nice, who came by once a week to clean the house, change the towels and take care of the maintenance of the pool .... in short, local people who take care of our comfort! We highly recommend this location.

Early check-in was no problem and the house and facilities were ideal for our party of four. The view is great and the location perfect for exploring the Heraklio area of Crete with lovely villages, nice beaches and archeological sites up close. The only small downside was that we had minor problems with the water supply in the beginning that were quickly taken care of and the showers need a little makeover. Altogether it is a lovely place we can unconditionally recommend.

Highly recommended!

We were there before the season and therefore the only guests on the site with five villas. The view of the valley, the house and the pool, which we used every day, the kindness of Mariyanna and Kostas and their help made our vacation even more beautiful…

The villa was exactly as described or as shown in the photos, everything was simply wonderful. Exactly what we were looking for: the tranquility, a great view, beautiful pool and a very well-equipped accommodation. We didn't miss anything here. On site we were looked after by WA by Kostas, he responded immediately at any time and helped us very well…

Exactly what we were looking for: the tranquility, a great view, beautiful pool and a very well-equipped accommodation. We didn't miss anything here. On site we were looked after by WA by Kostas, he responded immediately at any time and helped us very well. We especially liked the spacious terrace furniture to enjoy long evenings. PS: We were on site for 11 days, the accommodation was cleaned twice (!) during this time, including Change of towels. We have never experienced this in other accommodations - GREAT. The "pool boy" was also there twice and cleaned the pool.

We felt super comfortable. The house and pool were great, just as described. The fact that the pool is narrow did not bother us at all. Our two children and we enjoyed the stay very much. The villa was cleaned every third day, towels and bed linen changed. We didn't expect that. But it was great! Everyone we contacted was very friendly and accommodating…

We cannot praise this place highly enough! If you stay here you will need a car which means that you can also check out Matala beach which also became a favourite hang out spot for us. We are definitely coming back! Thank you for a week in paradise!
