Our family of 12 had the delight of staying at this accommodation in May of 2025 and we could not have been happier with everything. We had fantastic service from the owner his family and the team he employs to keep the place looking amazing. It has everything you could need to make your stay as comfortable and luxury as possible. The information internet page and handy QR scan also made knowing the area and the things we needed for the villa such as WIFI, local taxis, restaurants and other things even easier. We even arrived to some beautiful home made food from the owners mother and some essentials in the fridge to get our stay underway. Thank you Villa Aegea you have been amazing would 100% recommend and stay at this Villa again.

We had a gorgeous stay here - the villa is even better in real life! The owner of the villa, Vasilis, was really lovely & responsive anytime we had any issues. He greeted us with some delicious homemade Cretian snacks & Raki. His wife was also lovely & was able to help us with hiring some cars through her company. Absolutely recommend staying here!! A few things to note: - Villa is situated in a lovely private area at the top of a hill, so nice walk down to the beach & main road for little shops/restaurants, but harder work going back up again, especially with children. Would recommend hiring cars (we did eventually) as local taxi companies charged us A LOT for a less than 5 min drive back up to the villa. - Something we didn’t realise from reading the listing is that 2 of the bedrooms & the gym are in a separate apartment (connected to the main house). Using the gym felt a bit awkward at times as you were going into one families “home”.

The home owner communicated with us and was there upon our arrival to show us around. We are really missing the house cat and her kitten. They were the friendliest. Almost asked to bring them home with us. :) Thank you to the owner's parents who made us a wonderful treat upon our arrival. It was perfect. We brought in a private chef for a few days and I highly recommend them "Do It Like a Cretan". Private Greek cooking lesson as well. Thank you again for everything and making our vacation an enjoyable one!

The location of the villa is excellent, close, but still in its own peace. The view of the sea is wonderful and especially the setting of the sun behind the hill to the west is memorable. Shops and small restaurants were found nearby. The location was also suitable for a group traveling by car, and the longest journey, just over 200 kilometers, was to the Knossos Palace. We visited several beaches and some of the group got to try snorkeling. Small military history museums that interested us were easy to find. The rooms were very clean and the furniture modern. The kitchen also works for the group (there were 14 of us). The yard areas are well-maintained and the swimming pool is absolutely wonderful. We had a small problem with the fuses (hot water), which we got help with quickly.

We had a wonderful time at the Villa Aegea. The villa itself was spacious and we had plenty of room for all 11 of us. The outside area was very impressive; the pool was lovely and the outside kitchen area was a bonus, it included a fridge which was really useful! The views from the pool were fantastic. We were met by the Villa owner and his mother, who provided a selection of homemade treats which were delicious. Communication was excellent, I was sent suggestions of places to visit and restaurants etc from the owner. The owner even went above and beyond when my daughter's teddy was accidentally caught up in the sheets and taken to the laundry - teddy bear was found and returned a few days later much to our relief! We all had a wonderful time, thank you!

We were a group of 14 - including 5 children - and we had a wonderful stay at Villa Aegea. It is a stunning villa (spotlessly clean) in the most spectacular setting. The owners have taken great care to ensure you have everything you could possibly need, they even left some delicious Cretan treats for our arrival and delivered some more when we were leaving. Given the heat of summer we spent most of the time in the infinity pool and around BBQ / seating area, which is perfect for sunbathing or spending the evening, with the added bonus of being able to play music through the Bluetooth system. The general outlook of the villa is amazing and then you add the sunsets which were magical. I cannot fault this property. We all sincerely hope to return one day as it was a truly memorable holiday in a fantastic place. You do need a car to venture out but there are some reliable taxi services. Would highly recommend this property!

Our stay at Villa Aegea was fantastic. The villa has everything you need for a great holiday. We stayed at the house with a group of 10 people there was nothing to complain about. The communication with the owner was easy and we have always received a quick respond. He also offered us a late checkout which was really good for us. We would always come back to this fantastic house and we can definitely recommend this for large groups because the house has so much space that everyone has his own space. The pool, view, kitchen, sunsets - everything is fantastic!

We had a great time at Villa Aegea, great communication from Vasilis from start to finish of our holiday. The villa is huge and has so many areas to relax in, we especially liked the pool and the basement where we could work out in the gym or play on the PlayStation. Watching the sunset from the many balconies is fantastic and the location is near enough to shops and restaurants, however, we did get deliveries as the food was so good from the local restaurant!

We stayed in this villa for my mums 60th birthday. It was perfect! The whole house is beautiful, and every detail thought of. It is perfect for big families / groups. Our favourite was the outside pool area with speakers in the wall! Loved using the big bbq and outside kitchen area! The pool is amazing! Even has a lovely outside shower area. Every inch of the house is decorated to perfection. The furniture, the fittings, everything is 5 star. Also has a lovely little cat that sleeps outside and kittens over the wall which everyone was very excited about! Mr Vasilis was on hand with any questions we had and gave an instant response. There is even a gym downstairs! Would love to go back one day, it really is 10/10 thank you!!!

Vascillis and his family were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Some of the best hosts I've ever had. Always available for advice and super friendly. The villa is even better than the photos. You'll feel like a celebrity. Beautiful sunsets, multiple dining spaces, infinity pool. Three bedrooms upstairs, two with balconies. One bedroom by the kitchen and two in a separate bathroom downstairs. Most are twinsingles which can be made into king beds on request. Good separation between bedrooms so you have privacy. The balconies are a great spot for morning coffee or evening stargazing. There are three different dining areas but the best one is by the pool. The infinity pool is lovely and has a kiddie pool built into it. There's a poolside sound system. There are supermarkets, liquor stores and take away places 10 minutes by car. It's a very good spot to see the west end of the island. (balos lagoon, preveli beach, elafonisi) check out Chania and Rethimno for seaside shopping and dining. Forewarning - the roads can be a bit bumpy!! Loved it! Will have to come back to Crete.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Villa. Super nette Vermieter, die uns zur Begrüßung und während des Aufenthalts selbstgemachte Snacks und Eier aus eigener Haltung gebracht haben. Das Haus wurde zwischendurch geputzt und wir erhielten neue Handtücher. Vor allem der Außenbereich mit dem Infinitypool und dem Grill ist ein Traum! Mit dem Auto ist man in 30-40 min in Chania. On our arrival night, we were welcomed by the owner and his mother, who had prepared some local food for us – after a long journey it was much appreciated! Their hospitality did not end there, they were on hand for the duration of our stay with information, advice and more food! They really made our stay such a pleasant one. We dined out most of the time, but on the odd occasion we prepared our own meal, we found the villa to be well equipped. The villa was well maintained and cleaned. We particularly loved the pool area and deck. Our party would definitely consider returning to Villa Aegea.

Very beautifull villa! Really relaxing and very private place, four spacious rooms, air conditioned and nice designed. Very close to reustaurants, cafes, and of course, beach. I totally recommend!

Our family of 12 had the delight of staying at this accommodation in May of 2025 and we could not have been happier with everything. We had fantastic service from the owner his family and the team he employs to keep the place looking amazing. It has everything you could need to make your stay as comfortable and luxury as possible. The information internet page and handy QR scan also made knowing the area and the things we needed for the villa such as WIFI, local taxis, restaurants and other things even easier. We even arrived to some beautiful home made food from the owners mother and some essentials in the fridge to get our stay underway. Thank you Villa Aegea you have been amazing would 100% recommend and stay at this Villa again.

Fab villa with beautiful views & amazing pool!

We had a gorgeous stay here - the villa is even better in real life! The owner of the villa, Vasilis, was really lovely & responsive anytime we had any issues. He greeted us with some delicious homemade Cretian snacks & Raki. His wife was also lovely & was able to help us with hiring some cars through her company. Absolutely recommend staying here…

A few things to note: - Villa is situated in a lovely private area at the top of a hill, so nice walk down to the beach & main road for little shops/restaurants, but harder work going back up again, especially with children. Would recommend hiring cars (we did eventually) as local taxi companies charged us A LOT for a less than 5 min drive back up to the villa. - Something we didn’t realise from reading the listing is that 2 of the bedrooms & the gym are in a separate apartment (connected to the main house). Using the gym felt a bit awkward at times as you were going into one families “home”.

Die Villa ist sehr schön gemacht mit sehr hochwertiger Ausstattung. Der Pool- und Aussenbereich ist absolut fantastisch. Die Kommunikation war super und wir haben nichts vermisst.
