Very strategically situated and safe place- we also was here during Yanos storm - so it is proved . Everything is quite close and communicative - beaches, restaurants, shops. No words to describe it, should be seen.

The perfect house in Kefalonia

Exceptional welcome. Very comfortable, tastefully decorated, spacious and well equipped, with a nice view, the house is very clean and well maintained. Very comfortable bedding. Not in a touristy place and perfectly situated for visiting the island.

An Absolute Gem!

We knew when we booked Villa Daphni that it would be very good but it far exceeded all our expectations ... it is a truly exceptional, luxurious villa in a stunning location. Totally private - this is a large villa, very tastefully furnished and decorated…
We knew when we booked Villa Daphni that it would be very good but it far exceeded all our expectations ... it is a truly exceptional, luxurious villa in a stunning location. Totally private - this is a large villa, very tastefully furnished and decorated, with a large number of outside areas with seating and tables and a large pool, with sunbeds. The terrace is in the sun all day long! There is meticulous attention to detail to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. It starts as soon as you arrive with a cupboard and fridge full of fresh food - a very generous welcome pack. All our needs were overseen by a great team - gorgeous George, full of smiles, stories, friendship and helpfulness and Koula, the maid - quietly efficient and discreet, coming in every other day to attend to the pool, beds and linen. There are amazing views of the beautiful valley, surrounding mountains and the Ionian Sea from all the terraces and all the bedrooms and balconies. Make the most of the sunrises and the sunsets! It was a great joy to stay at Villa Daphni and we would love to return. It is very beautiful, peaceful and exceptional. We are sure it's a great villa for a large family holiday but we had a wonderful time and there were just the two of us! It was like a second honeymoon!

I could go on and on about this place but im not. Its incredible. Stunning views to Agia Effimia and the sea. Beautiful sunrises over the sea. Total luxury, peace and quite in stunning location. Ideal for large family (has 5 bedrooms) or total indulgence for 2.( i was the later) discreet maid service 3 times a week. Pool cleaned early am every other day and Villa managed by George (superstar.) Spoil yourself...you wont regret it.

We stayed at villa daphni 17th May 2017 for 1 week and have to say that the house exceeded all of our expectations - it really is something very special and we have stayed in many villas and hotels worldwide over the years - this has been the best villa we have ever stayed in. Furnishings - china - electricals are of an extremely high standard - bed really comfortable - with quality linen - good dressing room. There are so many nice touches which made the stay special - fresh flowers - provisions/grocery pack etc. There are plenty of televisions/dvd players in the house/bedrooms - cinema tv in basement with a good selection of dvds. Most importantly, help is always on hand from George - (and Fotini) - especially when we became locked out of the villa!) There are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from and we found the local people really friendly. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend a holiday at villa daphni - we don't think you will be disappointed!

Villa Daphni is really well situated on the outskirts of a quiet village with views down the valley towards the sea at Agia Efimea. The only intrusion comes from the goat bells. It is heavenly. The villa is really well appointed and the maid service is very efficient. House manager George provided an excellent service and was very attentive. I'm sure local taxis can be arranged easily but would suggest that you would need a car to make life easier and to get the most out of this beautiful island.

Villa Daphni is an exceptional place to stay - the views are gorgeous, the house is very well appointed with high quality fixtures and fittings, it is air-conditioned and has a lovely pool. Fotini, the owner, was a delight to deal with, and we were met by George on arrival who was very helpful throughout our stay. Fotini organised for a local chef to come to the house on our first night to cook a three-course dinner for us. It was fantastic and inexpensive - so much so that we did the same thing two further nights. It was an absolute treat. The local taverna, about 15mins walk, is lovely too. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the island.

We had a marvellous time in Villa Daphni during our 10 day stay. Not only has the villa a stunning location in the hills above Agia Efimia with great views, is it very tastefully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday but most important, the very kind assistance of Fotini the owner during the booking and the friendly care of George the caretaker on the island is what gives the villa that little bit extra. The villa is large enough for groups up to 10 people with equally nice appointed bedrooms (all with A/C) but is also intimate enough if you are just with the two of you, like us. The pictures don't lie. If anything, in reality the villa and the views are even more beautiful. Wholeheartedly recommended.

We enjoyed the most wonderful and relaxing stay in villa daphni. Our group was 7 with two couples. Everyone had their own rooms, which were all spacious, immaculate, air conditioned and with incredibly comfortable beds. On arrival we were greeted by George who was charming and helpful. There were even some essentials in the fridge. The pool is big enough for a decent swim and there are sunbathing and cool comfy shady spots. The view of the mountains and see is spectacular. We had two bbqs in the evening and would highly recommend doing the same. After returning from great beach days (recommend anti samos & petani) evenings can be spent watching the array of dvds or going to some excellent spots for dinner such as Paradise and of course tassia. Words to sum it up: ultra relaxing, beautiful, charming, relaxed, luxury meat pies, ice creams, mythos & mossaka We hope to come back!

Family holiday was made more special in this perfect villa

This is the best villa we've ever stayed in as a family. The villa is immaculate and stylish with all mode cons, beautiful decor, private and the most amazing views which to wake up to every morning. As a family group of ten there was plenty of space…
This is the best villa we've ever stayed in as a family. The villa is immaculate and stylish with all mode cons, beautiful decor, private and the most amazing views which to wake up to every morning. As a family group of ten there was plenty of space, lovely rooms, great kitchen facilities, Wifi, lovely pool and great outside areas. The village taverna nearby (sorry I forget the name) served rustic homemade food which we all enjoyed. We were even invited into the kitchen to sample the chicken or goat. Agia Efimia has plenty of tavernas which all were good I don't think we had one bad meal any where. Every one was really friendly and the local supermarket had everything you needed as a Brit abroad. Take a boat out for the day with a picnic. We found small beaches and swam, sunbathed and ate. Beautiful day, we even saw a sword fish jumping out of the water. Drive to Asos, Fiscardo, Sami etc for lovely bars. Anit Samos was the best beach with a brilliant bar and grill. Waiter service and Mojitos made the girls in the group very happy. There were beach rides - banana boat which everyone had a go on and laughed themselves senseless. It wasn't tacky or a water sport mad location.. It was a perfect paradise place to be. We are looking to go back as a couple this year and I would highly recommend it. There is a cleaner in the villa plus a lady who acts as a guide, which you can either take up or not if you need to know about the island. I don't think we would require it again but it was helpful for our first time. I can't fault the villa, location or people. We would all highly recommend. Thanks
