Alta Mare villa is absolutely stunning and the owners extremely helpful and friendly. Lying on my sun lounger by the beautiful pool I could look out and watch the sea and the mountain view. The area is peaceful and picturesque, perfect for those looking for a holiday to get away from the usual tourist package holiday. The Villa is furnished to a very high standard and the extras, such as jacuzzi & sauna , indoor pool , gym, tennis court showed the owners really did care that we had everything we needed for a lovely holiday. We were a 10 minute car ride to Platanias and 20 mins to Chania Town. Just 5 min by car to Maleme Beaches. Both we visited a number of times and we would highly recommend a visit. All in all, the Villa and the surrounding area is somewhere that I cannot wait to visit again.!!!

The pictures don't do justice to the panoramic views and stunning outlook. The sea and sky are endless and can be viewed from almost every room in the villa. Four of the bedrooms have shared balconies which are relaxing sun-traps with views across to the coast. The villa has a private spa, heated indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna, these facilities make a stay in the start of the season perfect without worrying about the weather (we came before Easter so still very changeable).We knew we would make use of the tennis court so came with our rackets and used the tennis court endlessly, it even has floodlights, if you're staying in hotter weather and need to play in the evening. You'd be hard pressed to find a court with a better outlook. The gym equipment all works fine, we did make use of gym most days. The fifth bedroom is downstairs next to the gym, and if it's going to be used would really only be suitable for children, our boys loved being down there where they could hide away.The manager was amazing with communication, end ensuring any queries we had were answered immediately. We also met with the owner who was so welcoming, and couldn't do enough for us. We had a lovely cleaner who came every day and kept everything immaculate. The villa is positioned up on the top of a hill, about 8-9 minutes drive down to the coast. You need to have a car and drive out, it's an easy drive down to the village. Platanias is also 10-15 minutes away and has many many restaurants, shops and beaches, we often went there for dinner or lunch. We loved Crete and the villa, and really hope to come back next year

We even had a small medical accident and Angelo organized everything for us within minutes. The only thing that can be complained about is the „small“ kitchen compared to the size of the villa. Overall definitly recommended and we will come back for sure!

We are a family of 13 people from 66 to 18 months and we absolutely loved our holiday here!! The villa was well equipped and luxurious - we could not have asked for more. Angelo the host was incredible - warm welcoming and always on hand with the best advice, hints and tips. The villa was in a great location, close to restaurants bars and the beach (10/15 minute drive). You will need transport to make the most of the villa and its surroundings though. We truly had a wonderful holiday and cannot wait to visit again.

This is a beautiful home with amazing views and fantastic facilities. We were checked-in smoothly and well taken care of. The pool is amazing. Our group of 11 had a blast. We miss it already.
