Halepa Villa Chania

Greece, Crete, Chania

Beach: 200m

Halepa Villa Chania is a luxury villa rental with 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 8 guests. A very large luxury villa in the center of the historic district of Halepa. With a tradition of hosting the turn of the century aristocracy of Chania, Halepa still has the same aura of that era, as many historic mansions have been saved. Halepa Villa Chania (in a small family-owned 3-floor building) is a maisonette with five balconies. With an uninhibited view, one can feel far away from the city, even though the location is just 5' driving distance from the center of Chania!

The first floor has a spacious living room area, a dining area, an open space kitchen, and a large bathroom (with a hydromassage column). There are two wide balconies; the front one offers a view to the "palace" of prince George, Venizelos museum and the French School and the back one to the garden of the Russian church Agia Magdalini and our organic garden from where you can select as many vegetables as you wish while you stay here!

On the upper floor of Halepa Villa Chania, there are three bedrooms (each one with its own balcony), a hanging loft, and a second bathroom with a hydrobath. The two front bedrooms overlook the palace, El. Venizelos museum and the French Academy and the third bedroom have a view of the garden of Agia Magdalini. The Master bedroom has a mattress 200 x 200 cm, the second bedroom has twin beds (can be made into double if requested) and the third bedroom has a double queen bed. Halepa Villa Chania has separate entrances for each floor and there is lift access to both floors.

very loud - but a nice house: we were very surprised about the loud noise from the street just before the house: you cannot find (excl the night) a single minute without noises from cars, motorbikes and mopeds- special the last 2 groups are using the street for often loud speeding-ups. forget the 2 frontbalconies- or bring good earphones. also there is no good air: most of the cars, etc are a little bit old incl bad emissions: waiting 5 minutes at the busstation just in opposite or on the balconies and you got a heavy dose. yes, you can acclimatize to the noise in 3 weeks- but was not our goal for our relaxingweeks after a hard year in northern europe. plus there was a construction site near our house- not every day loud, but you see the buildingmaterial every day at the left site of the very nice terrace to the park. plus there is above the left bedroom a cowl on the cimney: on several nights this part is working as a result of wind incl disturbing noises: not so great for a good sleep. the kitchen (clock was broken, no replacement in 22 days): everything excl a scissor was there, but only 3 coffeemugs (there are 8 sleepingplaces in the house)- so you have to clean them every day. the coffeemachine: you cannot do anything wrong to filter the coffee- but this modell needs between 10 sec till 10 minutes to start: every morning: will it start now or in x minutes... we are using this type of coffeemachines since ~ 50 years: never had such a problem. christina was a friendly host: fix response after mailing her, there was also a good housekeepingservice every 4 or 5 days. upps- not to forget. we got the wrong housenumber with the last infos: not to nice to look around in the dark and finding the right house after asking a neighbour.

The villa is a nice house. Fresh and clean and with a very helpful and caring owner. We felt that we were very welcome in the house and everything (both practical things and communication) has run smoothly. The house is neighbor to a church and a French school. We didn't need anything at all and if we did the owner was very helpful. Thank for a very nice stay. Leon

We were greeted by the owner, which immediately made us feel at home with homemade delicacies, and also provided us with a local's insight to beaches and taverns around the island, which contributed greatly to our day trips. The Halepa Villa was an ideal choice for us situated a short walk away from the old harbor. The residence provides everything one would seek. Great kitchen for cooking, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, and most importantly generous outdoor terraces to lounge/dine or simply relax on a hammock. Highly recommended for a guaranteed great stay in Chania. Thanks for everything, we are already looking forward to our next visit.
