Showcasing modern boho design, the newly built Villa al Sur is encased by glass and filled with light and a welcoming atmosphere. The open plan layout flows easily and the design incorporates natural wood, color palette, and materials. Located on the Akrotiri peninsula of Chania it is close to pretty beaches and amenities.

Villa al Sur showcases current architectural design which, combined with a modern Boho style interior, creates a relaxed and welcoming ambiance in an upscale chic environment. Situated on the hillside that leads down to the natural harbor of Souda Bay, on the Akrotiri peninsula of Chania, Villa al Sur enjoys beautiful natural views of the White Mountains and Souda Bay in the distance. Light flows throughout the villa thanks to the glass framework which forms a distinct feature. The 380 sq.m. residence spreads across 3 levels and features six generous bedrooms, accommodating 12 guests in their plush beds and up to 13 if required, while the 115 m2 private heated pool spanning the front of the villa beckons you to awake for a dip. A selection of beautiful beaches and bays, amenities, and captivating Chania town are all within easy reach for those wanting to explore some of what the stunning island of Crete has to offer.

The ground floor interior of Villa al Sur follows an open plan layout with a natural flow between spaces. Earthy tones combine with rich, light wood and natural materials with hints of the beach, to create a calming, homely environment. In the north wing of the ground floor, a squishy corner sofa and natural wood armchairs are waiting for you to sink into, where you can enjoy views out to the pool terrace or perhaps a movie on the 50” Smart TV. Large glass doors open to the outdoor dining table that seats 12 and the barbecue area, both under the shade of an overhead pergola. Further patio doors lead directly to the pool terrace. The main indoor dining table can be found next to the lounge area, seating 12 with views over the 115 sqm aqua pool. A WC is also available, conveniently placed for communal use.

Moving to the southern wing of the villa, the open-plan kitchen combines sleek wood with white counters to create a fresh and practical space. An array of appliances are available to prepare and cook your favorite dishes and perhaps create some Cretan delicacies. The kitchen island is flanked by 6 stools, the perfect place for a casual meal, coffee, or a glass of wine chilled to perfection in the wine fridge. Patio doors lead to the pool terrace providing a seamless continuation from indoor to outdoor living. Two bedrooms with Queen size beds (1,80 x 2,00) and 32” Smart TVs are located on the ground floor. Each is furnished for the comfort of its occupants. The first bedroom has views and access to the pool terrace and a bathroom just a step beyond its door, with a shower cubicle, sink, and toilet. The second bedroom has patio doors with access to the garden and an ensuite bathroom with a shower cubicle boasting a large overhead rain shower, sink, and toilet.

The first floor is interestingly split between 2 halves, each paying tribute to an ensuite bedroom, reached via its own independent staircase which rises in stylish sophistication from the ground floor. Each of the first-floor first ensuite bedrooms is a generous size and offers a queen-size bed (1,80 x 2,00) and a 32” Smart TV. Triple aspect glass doors and a window grasp your attention with stunning views over Souda Bay and the white mountains which can also be enjoyed from the balconies. The views can also be witnessed from the ensuite bathrooms which boast large rain showers, sink, and toilet. Each bedroom has been designed to allow the viewer to do the talking and has a calming vibe for restful sleep.

The last two en-suite bedrooms can be found on the lower floor, one at the end of each wing, each one offering a queen-size bed (1,80 x 2,00) that can be separated to form two single beds (0,90x2,00) upon prior request. The fifth bedroom provides a comfortable, private space with a relaxation area, with a built-in sofa seating and a coffee table with chairs. Adding to its opulence is the open plan ensuite bathroom which becomes a feature of the room. The deep, double vessel sinks and shower cabin incorporated into the main bedroom create a luxurious feel.

The open ensuite bathroom, built-in sofa seating, and vanity area features add to the design of the sixth bedroom as well. It is a space to be enjoyed, offering privacy and a place to lounge. A single patio door opens to steps that lead to the outdoor seating area at the poolside. Last but not least, here you will also find a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The 2350 square meters of outside space wraps around the villa and incorporates a long swimming pool, gardens, and outdoor living areas so you can enjoy warm days outdoors. The outdoor facilities include a 115 m2 (25m x 4.5m) private swimming pool that stretches across the width of the house, its aqua shimmer inviting you in. It provides sloped access and graduated depth from 0,60 - 1,60m. The pool can be heated upon prior request, with an extra charge. It also includes a hydromassage area of the pool is separated from the main pool by a wooden bridge. With a depth of 0,90 and an internal seating area, you can enjoy some relaxing massage therapy from the bubbles, sunbeds with mattresses provide poolside comfort while umbrellas and a pergola create shade, and a built-in outdoor seating area under a pergola is sure to be a firm base for poolside drinks during the day or evening. The gas barbecue encourages al fresco grilling and with an outdoor dining table, seating 12, next to it. Private parking is provided within the villa grounds, with space for a number of cars.

I could not recommend this villa enough.

We refueled our batteries and visited many local restaurants with great food next to the sea... all communication and contact with the owner and his staff was perfect. The host is very kind, generous and courteous. Extra:the amazing huge 25meters swimming pool and the barbeque area where we had amazing time. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a healthy vacation in a private villa!!
