Staying at this house was a really special experience. The house is beautiful, the position on the hill and the views are superb, and swimming in the ocean from your own private deck with your own private cove is magical. But the experience was made perfect by Gannis, who looked after us with such care and generosity. I was celebrating a big birthday and he set up a beautiful table by the water so we ate under the stars by candlelight. He also brought my contact lenses to me (a two hour trip!) after we'd checked out.

The property is managed like a boutique hotel with staff continuously on premise to help with any request or cleaning. The villas are completely independent, don't have visibility on each other, and have a 180° view on the bay.The property's beach is located about 50m below the villas, it is rocky but has a very convenient ladder to the water so you can swim easily without walking on stones. There are golf carts operated by the property staff to get you there but we just walked, it only 5mns and good exercise. Mid way to the beach is a large gym room, fully equipped, next to a small picturesque chapel, all with view to the sea.The nearby village Adja Pelagia is 5mns by car and has a sandy beach and several restaurants, we recommend "Taverna Vassilis" for excellent cooking and unforgettable service. You are guaranteed to get out with a smile.Heraklion is 25mns away. For a huge, deserted sandy beach look for 'iKite' club. Balos site is a 2:30 drive to Kissamos where cruises start.

We traveled as a relatively large group with various needs—three grandparents, two small kids, and two tired parents! Natalie and her crew went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed—from pool floaties to Coronas to an amazing private chef sunset dinner (twice!). During our 10 day stay in Greece, we visited several islands and stayed in various luxury accommodations…but we all agreed, this was the best and a place that will always be near and dear in our hearts. If you’re considering a vacation near Heraklion, this is the place.

This villa is unreal, everything is perfect, clean and beautiful. Plenty of towels, beautiful linen, and pristine clean! The infinity swimming pool is a dream and the views of the ocean are absolutely insane as well as the breath-taking sunsets you will get to witness. The home is located up on a hill and to go down to the insane private ocean front you can either walk or call for a golf cart to take you up and down. There is a private gym complete with a sauna and even your own Greek chapel! The ocean front is absolutely swimmable, a dream come true. The staff on site, Irina, is extremely responsive and friendly. Communication before and during the stay was clear and detailed. There incredible beaches just 5 minutes away from the house (I recommend renting a car) as well as restaurants and lots of entertainment. Only 30 minutes away from Heraklion port and airport! Amazing place!!!

The place was amazing as advertised - beautiful villa with all the accessories for great vacation, great private beach and more than that - the service provided by Giannis and the team was a real differentiator - we have been in Villas before - the difference here was the service - usually you arrive at the Villa and you get the key on day 1 and support if needed - here you had the benefit of a private Villa with the service of a luxury hotel - every request or even thinking on something was immediately answered with a smile and the right solution - it was an unforgettable vacation and we thank Giannis and the team for that

The views in the villa and on the private beach are breathtaking and it is evident that every detail was thought of. One of the advantages of the place is that it is a villa but there is a whole team that provides services of transportation, food, meals in the resort's taverna, etc. so that you enjoy all the advantages of a villa and a hotel. Privacy is maximum and you don't feel the other guests. It was a dream and I'm sure we'll be back

A complex of private villas with all modern amenities, decorated in a Mediterranean style. We stayed at Villa 1. View of the private pool with sea water, fully equipped kitchen, terraces and pergola with dining area. Bright bedrooms with panoramic windows, high-quality furniture and fittings, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. The complex has a private rocky beach area with sun loungers and umbrellas, a beach bar, entrance to the sea by steps. On the territory there is a small playground, as well as a beautiful chapel, so the complex is ideal for special events! The staff is friendly and welcoming! Enjoyed the services of the chef, all at the highest level! We rented a car for the duration of our stay to explore the island. In 3 minutes the village of Agia Pelagia, several taverns and shops.

All our guests were seduced by the wild setting, the magnificent view, the quality and architecture of the villa, the green spaces, the swimming pools, the privacy when you are on the terraces (one terrace in the shade in the morning and another in the sun), the full west orientation for the sunsets, the 3 main bedrooms with sea view, the bathrooms and individual toilets and above all, the private beach at the end of the small path that goes down to the sea, with all the individual equipment necessary...Giannis welcomed us at 11 p.m., took care of the suitcases, remained available every day, answered our questions immediately, took care of first aid and bought medicine when one of us was injured, arranged an appointment in a clinic to be treated immediately and avoid spending long hours in the emergency room. We thank him.Cleaning + linen changed every 4 days. It's perfect.

The Villa is amazing, looks better than the pricture, every thing is well desgined, clean, high quality materials and it includes and amenties you can think of.But for us that wasn't even what was so amazing. The thing is that its a private Villa but it has the adventages of 5 stars resort with stuff that take care of every need. The private beach is one of the best in the Area, the breakfast was good and on point with our needs. I coundn't recommand it more!

The villa has the most sweeping and stunning views, and watching the sunsets by the pool was awesome. My family absolutely loved this home and had an amazing time. Very spacious, clean, modern and plenty of room for all (family of 5). Very sunny with not a lot of shade in the afternoon on the deck, but has a strong breeze and never felt too hot. A car is recommended for driving to town for restaurants.The private beach was also incredible. Rocky and rough if you have small kids, but my family with all adult children loved it and didn't want to leave. The snorkeling and views were amazing. George was a wonderful host and made our stay even more special. Thank you so much for your recommendations, reservations, and catering to me and my family with drinks and food and rides to/from the beach. Also thank you and your team for the wine and other treats you left.

The location feels remote but isn’t and all items needed are within minutes. We spent so much time in the outdoor space cooking dinner and eating overlooking the Aegean Sea. We underused the private beach and would recommend that you take full advantage of it because it was collectively our favorite of our entire trip. The walk is steep but staff will take you and pick you up. You have 3 levels of amenities to use and it goes beyond your villa. I cannot recommend this location enough!

The Villa is gorgeous and clean and spacious. There were 11 of us who comfortably fit and enjoyed swimming in the two gorgeous infinity pools as well as enjoyed dining at the outdoor deck area whilst watching the beautiful sunset. The private beach at the bottom of the cliff was quite a steep treck down but the hosts were super responsive and quick to bring the buggy cart around to drive those of us who needed it down and back. You do have to drive everywhere as it’s very secluded but that added to the charm of it for us. We loved our stay at Villa Lyra and would definitely book again!
