The indoor and outdoor spaces are stunning. The house manager, Foula, will tend to your every need. The house is well positioned midway between Myrtos beach, Assos, Jerusalem Beach and Fiskardo - all 20-30 minutes drive (Don't believe anyone who says their house is 10 minutes from anywhere! The roads are good quality but twisty.)

Perfect holiday escape! My family enjoyed two weeks in Villa Aria and we didn't want to leave. The country villa has been meticulously rebuilt and refurbished and is perched on an extremely quiet hilltop with spectacular west facing views. Foula, the guest services manager, acted as our concierge, recommending and reserving tables at local restaurants and booking beach and boat excursions. The house is fully appointed, we lacked nothing. Villa Aria exceeded all of our expectations.

The pictures on the site don’t really do this villa justice - it is an awesomely beautiful place perched at the top of the hill with breath taking views out over Assos and the bay. The villa itself is spotlessly clean, has very conceivable appliance, and is warm and comfortable. The sympathetic conversion of an old farm house retains the charm (the old wine making trough and storage is made into a feature of the living space) whilst providing modern facilities and convenience. The separate double bedroom annex was perfect for our daughter and partner. Fiscardo (nearest large harbour town) is clean, beautiful, and full of life. There are more local tavernas serving excellent food, beaches galore, and more than enough sights and excursions to keep our mixed age group of 6 people totally happy. A car is a must (local taxis are good but very expensive) and the main roads are very good; I have to admit to avoiding the minor (and sometime gravel) lanes which prevented us accessing some of the smaller beaches.... but there was more than enough to do without them. All in all a superb place/visit and we plan to return!

The amazing villa, the green and small island with its sights and beaches, the famous places like Assos, Fiscardo, Maki's restaurant ... it was a great week for us and we will definitely come back one day. The kids were happy about he heated pool. It was a great pleasure and the weather could not destroy our fantastic trip to Kefalonia.

Villa Aria is just great! A remarkable spot with the best views and the house itself is perfect! The combination of old and new is extremely tastefull and the house has all you need (and more). We also loved the setting (the view) but also beeing in the north with lots of lovely beaches, walks and little towns around). Also the team of the Villa was always approachable and we felt extremely well taken care of. A definete recommendation!!!

Highly HIGHLY recommended.

This place is even better than the pictures, and that's saying something! Lazy days by the pool, trips to the stunning Assos and Fiskardo, sundowners on the patio (incredible!) and a brilliant boat trip - thanks so much for making our family holiday…

Villa Aria is beautiful in a fabulous location and well laid out and exquisitely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfy and the bathrooms lovely. We had a great week in Kefalonia despite some strange weather. I would recommend Jerusalem Beach for quiet swimming and sun lounger hire without too many people. The Taverna there is also amazing serving delicious authentic Greek food. All in all a great house in a great location that we would highly recommend.

It’s hard to argue with perfection and from my point of view Villa Aria has achieved it. My family and I arrived for two weeks at the beginning of the summer. The view is stunning – it seemed to get better each night. It is one of those things a picture just can’t quite capture. From the vantage point of the villa, it’s hard to believe it’s not the best view on the island. While private, the villa is a very short drive to anything you would want to do while staying in Kefalonia. Great restaurants, wonderful beaches, harborside walks – they are all very accessible and easy to get to. The accommodations themselves are better than the pictures. No detail has been overlooked – the owners did it right. From the comfort of the luxurious beds (NOT your typical rental bed!), to the closets with lavender sachets (from the garden) to beautiful bathrooms, pampering the guests is clearly the goal. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils, cookware, etc. you would need, and the china is beautiful making for lovely sunset dinners at the outdoor poolside table. The pool is wonderful and lit at night. We went in every day. The neighbors left us to ourselves to enjoy our trip but were exceptionally hospitable when we reached out. Foula, who lives in the area, first met us to show us the accommodations and then she and her family also prepared several delicious meals of local specialties. Who could ask for more?! We plan to book our trip back next year asap!

Villa Aria is truly beautiful, it lives up to the photos and description and more. After being greeted by the lovely Foula and introduced to the house and some of it's history, we settled in immediately. We had a wonderful week exploring Kephalonia and decided that the house definitely has one of the best views on the island. The house has been beautifully restored and has maintained much of it's original spirit while creating very comfortable, stylish spaces. The beds are excellent and one of the best experiences was waking up and opening the shutters to that breathtaking view. The house is set in a very peaceful small hamlet surrounded by unspoilt countryside and coastline with sheep grazing and is a short car ride to Assos or Fiskardo for shopping or eating out. We loved discovering the beautiful beaches in the area when we could peel ourselves away from the house. The water in the sea is wonderful for swimming (even at the end of October) and crystal clear. We were glad we had arranged to have the pool heated as this meant we could enjoy it too,as it might have been a bit too chilly without. One of the local cats adopted us for the week which only added to the feeling of being 'at home'. The house is very well appointed and we could not think of anything we would add to improve the experience. We all agreed this was one of the best rental experiences we have had and we will definitely plan to come back again.
