This is a great modern house with two separate apartments. It has a nice pool, outdoor shower, and patio dining area. There is also an outdoor grilling area. This is ideal for sitting out and watching the fabulous sunset. No need to go anywhere in the evening for an amazing view. If you like peace and quiet this place is for you. The down stairs living area is modern all the windows and doors have screens. There are 2 master bedrooms with private baths, plus a queen bedroom, and another with two twins. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well stocked. The upstairs living area has two bedrooms, shared bath, kitchen and living area. It is a separate entrance from the downstairs apartment. It is comfortable, but not as newly decorated. The host is incredibly responsive and handled the one issue we had immediately. There were lots of personal touches- a melon in the fridge, a bottle of wine, and water. Large fluffy beach towels were provided. There was daily housekeeping. Walking distance: Snorkleing area with two caves and rock jumping; glass bottom boats to shipwreck beach; two tavernas. Hints: stop at the grocery store near the ferry before heading north to the house. There are no grocery stores nearby. Buy bottled water as the island water is not recommended for drinking. Download GPS map on phone as cell service is intermittent in some areas of the island. Many of the islands beaches are rock so water shoes are helpful.

This villa is amazing! It has everything you need for an island getaway. The villa was large enough to accommodate our party of nine (six adults, one teenager, and two smaller children). It is stylishly decorated and compliments the scenery. The infinity pool is a brilliant touch, and rare for villas like this on the island. Our kids spent hours splashing in the pool, and the adults enjoyed the loungers and sea views. Location, location, location! We absolutely loved the location. The villa is situated on the northern end of the island, near the lighthouse. We arrived by ferry from Kyllini and it took us about one hour to get to the villa. The drive was amazing. There's also a nice little port near the villa, about 3 kilometers away, with plenty of tavernas, shops, and bars. Our host gave us an amazing recommendation for dinner in the little port town. If you choose to remain at the villa and not stray too far for meals, there are two places just a couple minutes walking distance from the villa. The taverna immediately across from the villa is fantastic. We had great food, great service, and very reasonable prices. I've lived in Greece for a few years now, and these were not tourist prices. The other location is only a couple hundred meters down the road, at the windmill. They were pretty good, also. If you go to the windmill, be sure to walk down the path next to the windmill to the sea. There you will find an area with ledges to jump into the sea. You can also swim/snorkel around the cliffs and caves. Lastly, a short walk down the hill in front of the lighthouse, you can catch a glass-bottom boat to see the blue caves and shipwreck beach. You'll pay only 20 euros per person, which is a great deal. Other companies charge anywhere from 30 to 50 euros. With the exception of one night eating in the little port, we never left the villa. We had everything we wanted right there. I highly recommend the Lighthouse Villa and look forward to visiting again sometime in the near future.

One of the best villas on the island. Great view. Very modern and minimal interior design. One can easily fell in love with the sun rise coming from the east side out of the sea and a spectacular sunset on the west side. Amazing front view to Kefalonia. Sometimes gets windy. 4 mins walking from the Blue caves on the North and East side of the island where you can easily swim in the sea early in the morning or later in the night. Strongly recommend to experience the place.

The location!! It's in a peaceful location next to the lighthouse. You do get tourists parking about 150m away going on boat trips, and some even take photos of the villa, but it's not intrusive. The views of the sea and Kefalonia from the pool area are stunning. You get amazing sunsets across the sea. The pool is of a decent size, though can be on the cold side, even in July. The owner's parents live in an annex on the top of the villa and look after it and clean the villa. You wouldn't know they're there because of the way it's designed. At first I wasn't keen on the idea but it's reassuring knowing someone is there when you're not. On arrival they'd left some water, wine and a delicious melon in the fridge for us. One day it rained while we were out and they moved our stuff from the pool area for us. Taverna Faros is located right across from the entrance but behind some trees. Lovely food served and ideal for when you can't be bothered to venture further away. The quality of the finish of the villa is very high. Air conditioning is very efficient and lighting is low energy, intuitive. Love the automatic corridor lights. It's so new it smells like a furniture shop and has a fully equipped kitchen. Overall we had a fantastic stay, and found it thoroughly relaxing. We hired a car for our stay and ventured around the island. The local area is lovely, with small farms and vineyards dotted around. The nearest supermarket is in the harbour down the road but is rather expensive. Head to Alykanas for much better prices.

Beautiful house, views, very close to the most convenient tours to shipwreck beach on the island ( 1 minute travel time to the dock, 15 minutes travel time to the beach! Can’t beat that), very well appointed and high end construction and finishes. We were a group of 11 and never felt cramped. House has 3 separate master suites

We were lucky enough to be the first ever guests at this villa and were met by a fantastic host. The villa is situated in the north of the island next to the lighthouse which was perfect not only for uninterrupted views of the ocean so the sunsets were fantastic. It was imacculatly clean with fresh white linen on comfortable beds, comfortable lounge and kitchen area with ample outside seating and a fantastic pool area. It also has a pizza oven and BBQ area which we didn't use but will next time we visit. It is a bit out the way but worth the drive. There are some fantastic restaurants only a 10minute drive away and the boat to shipwreck is on the doorstop. The owner's mother and father stay upstairs but you would not know they are there. Only upon departing did they pop in with a leaving gift. The host who met us was brilliant with recommendations for local restaurants and even went to the supermarket and delivered food to us. A fantastic villa that would be great for a family holiday.
