Nestled above the red cliffs of Kingfisher Bay in Vilanculos, Santorinis’ unfurling view of the archipelago islands and curling mainland in the distance is unsurpassable. Santorini Mozambique is like a small Greek village in the heart of a raw African landscape – a magical combination. The attention to detail in every space and the personal touch delivered throughout your stay is beyond expectation. From the captivating decor and intriguing design within the villas to the lush landscaped gardens and outstanding food, there is nothing that has been missed. Originally created as a boutique villa, the passion and aspiration exploded beyond this, to create mystical pieces of heaven that fell into place against this dramatic backdrop. The entire estate exudes unpretentious charm.

Santorini Mozambique Villa:

The open plan, multi-level main villa is the heart-space around which Santorini has evolved. A sprawling villa with extensive and enchanting hideaways.

The numerous living areas are each unique and mesmerizing in personal detail and the choice of places to rest, dine, or relax are limitless. Whether you are drawn to the lounge, TV room, sunset sala, or pool courtyard, you’re encouraged to make yourself completely at home. The tranquil pool courtyard holds claim to an eternal view and an alfresco seating area beside the pizza oven and gas BBQ. The oceanfront patio has a pale blue martini pool that faces directly onto the ever-changing Bazaruto Archipelago. A place where one can linger, on the daybeds or Barraza seating, watching the gentle shift of the tide.

The main villa consists of five individual, spacious suites with gorgeous décor and elegant bathrooms, each unique in design and feel. The suites open out onto their own private patio with sun loungers and an umbrella – the perfect space to take in the majestic view of this magical place.

Simply outstanding. A true paradise.

No matter what I say about Santorini, it won't go anywhere near describing this absolute gem, but I'll give it a try. We booked for five days, but I wish it had been five weeks, months or years. Firstly, the hosts, Heidi and Wynand, are just perfect for their roles. They are so attentive and informative about Santorini and the area. They really look after you and make you feel so special. Santorini is the best managed place we have ever been. Everything has been thought of. There were four of us and we stayed in the Villa Da Praia. We were gobsmacked when we saw the place. It is truly fabulous. Very spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The view from the villa is so very beautiful and totally unspoiled. Watching the fishermen bringing in their nets each morning was lovely. We were looked after for meals in the villa by a true gentleman Fernando. His little touches like different place settings, napkin folding and little messages written into the butter were so lovely and we looked forward to what he would do next! The food is outstanding and so well thought out. Our chef was just amazing. Great quality wines too. We were celebrating our Pearl wedding anniversary and Heidi organised a special candlelit dinner in the courtyard for us. It was so romantic and very much appreciated. Another time, she organised lunch for us in the vegetable garden which was also great. We all went on the day boat trip which we upgraded so we could go to Bazaruto Island and then go to see the whales. Unfortunately after the snorkelling reef (which was amazingly great), it got a bit rough and my husband doesn't have sea legs, got seasick, so we just turned around and went for lunch to the most beautiful island with fantastic sand dunes. We didn't see the whales, but did see two dugongs really close up!! A magical day. Don't miss it. My husband and my friend had full spa massage treatments and both said it was the best massage they had ever had. My 15 min hand massage was also lovely. It's the little touches like chocolates on the bed, little notes left in your room about the culture, the smiles and waves from the staff, and we loved the little bottle of sand they give you to take home so you remember how it felt to walk on the beach, all make your stay so wonderful. This place really is paradise in a beautiful unspoiled area in Mozambique and we really can't wait to return. The staff and Heidi came to say goodbye to us all and I did something I have never done anywhere else - I cried. I was so emotional leaving. If you possibly can, do yourself a favour, and visit this place. I promise you won't ever regret it and you will have exquisite memories forever.

This is as near as you can get to staying in your own private villa and not to have to cook, clean etc yourself, without actually owning such a villa. It is the best hotel experience you can have. Villa Santorini offers a restful, stress free enviroment…
This is as near as you can get to staying in your own private villa and not to have to cook, clean etc yourself, without actually owning such a villa. It is the best hotel experience you can have. Villa Santorini offers a restful, stress free enviroment to relax in, whilst delivering excellent service & great quality food. Activities such as catamaran trips, hourse riding, water sports are available or you can just chill out. The snorkelling trip to the coral reef followed by a beach picnic is a must (thanks Palino). Norman the Manager made us welcome and gave us a guided tour including the amazing vegtable garden. The two Sergio's looked after our every whim, serving our meals and drinks. A great way to finish our Africa experience which started with a safari.

Santorini Where to even start... transferred from our first accommodation spot to Santorini by welcoming host/villa manager, Norman. We received cold scented face cloths to cool down on the short trip to the villa, all the while chatting and learning interesting things about our surrounds. On arrival at Santorini we were greeted by smiling staff, refreshing fruit juice cocktails & Lucy, who took us through the check in process - which is quick and seamless yet thorough and informative. We had a “host” for the duration of our stay, Fernando, what an AMAZING person and we were so fortunate to be so spoiled by him at meal times - always dining in a different spot around the villa, small details like remembering what we wanted to drink, little notes written into the butter at dinner, the fun napkin art etc. The rooms are gorgeous, stunning views, decor, linen & accents everywhere you look. The little touches i.e notes, chocolates on our pillow, flowers in the room, welcome package from the co-managing couple (Norman & Lucy) and staff were always much appreciated and we will take those memories (and the little bottle of sand) with us when we leave! The beach is lovely, beautiful to explore at low tide. The non motorized water sports were loads of fun, and Wynand arranged for the boat house to be opened early so we could go stand up paddling before the wind picked up. We did a sunset Dhow cruise with Georgio and Inacio - what entertaining and good people! They were accommodating when we wanted to jump into the sea to cool off, Inacio kept the cold drinks flowing on our cruise, and the kitchen had provided some delicious snacks for us. Ah activity that is well worth it and really special! Overall, aside from the gorgeous views, amazing staff and luxurious accommodation, it's really the little details that made our time at Santorini so memorable. Thank you for having us and we will be back!

This is my second visit - mind blowing. Its perfect with amazing attention to detail, fantastic staff and the food is first class. We stayed as an extended family and were able to spend vital time together with all our needs met but service never being intrusive. Due to the careful design and accommodation options this Santorini is just as suitable for honeymooners as it is for friends wanting to stay somewhere amazing to recharge after a safari. You get all the views (or actually better) of staying on the islands with out some of the faff. The lodge os open and breezy with many nooks and crannies to eat in, sip a drink or read a book. Great boats for trips to the islands, we saw several pods of dolphins each day, a large ray and beautiful flamingos. Snorkelling was like bing in a fish tank and suitable for the kids too (7 & 10). I have been involved in Mozambique for over 20 years. For me this is the best option in Mozambique. It's an amazing testament to what tourism can do for development given that more than 40 families are directly supported by this boutique Villa. Very very sad to be leaving but hope to be back.
