On the slope and the foot of a hill and up to the bosom of the sea lies the picturesque village of Kolymbari. In the northwest part of Crete, in Chania, in the province of Kissamos in Platanias. Located 1km from the village center and the long beach, where the heart of the Dimokratia Villa Chania beats. Dominates in the hillside, besieged by olive groves. It rises majestically and unobstructed - a fantastic view, at its disposal enabling it to gaze at the Cretan sea. Bathed in sunlight from morning till night, both outside and in the internal spaces, as the many large windows ensure the sense of being in the open air, even when enjoying the inside.

Dimokratia villa's entry is identified with a sign. Going up the staircase you reach the large terrace. Entering Dimokratia Villa Chania lies down a comfortable space with 2 living rooms, 2 dining rooms & a kitchen. Also on the ground floor, you will find a bedroom & a bathroom. At the end of the corridor, a staircase leads to the 1st floor, which hosts the other 2 bedrooms. Among them, are a luxurious bathroom & a spacious hall, which ensure the independence of the 2 rooms.

Living room I: Two toggle handmade sofas & armchairs are around a central, wooden table and hang out with the Smart TV 55 '.A huge glass will allow you to enjoy the beautiful natural landscape.

Living room II: The same beautiful views as the other living room, where the space here can be converted to an auxiliary bedroom since the large sofa can easily convert into a double bed.

Dining rooms: A magnificent handmade walnut table can accommodate 8-12 people. The other dining room, more functional, since it accompanies the kitchen, has a large table & can accommodate 6-8 people.

Kitchen: Gas Hobs with 5 cooking positions, Electric Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher(super silence), Microwave oven, Toaster, Coffee machines (Frappe, Espresso, French), Hand mixer, Electric squeezer, complete equipment for cooking and eating utensils.

Bedrooms: We gave special attention & care in the selection of bedroom items, to ensure healthy, comfortable, enjoyable, relaxing & restful sleep. A king-size bed (160x200) or two single beds(90x200), which can be two independent units or a combination of a bed. Bedside tables, modern or vintage, with special analog lighting.Orthopedic mattresses from MEDICAL STROM. Hypoallergenic pillows, antibacterial-antifungal with outer fabric 100% cotton. Outfits from NEF-NEF, free from harmful substances. Air-condition & TV.

1st Floor Bathroom: There couldn’t be something bigger. Tiles combined with mosaic covering the walls & the bathtub. The large, angular, semicircular bathtub with a seat, can be very enjoyable. There is a big bench with an inserted sink. A huge mirror with strong lighting can cover all of your needs. This bathroom is equipped with a washing machine. Hot water is provided from a heater. Particular elegance adds to the room the ceiling with a circular dome with concealed lighting.

Floor Bathroom: It is equipped with a quite comfortable bench with a sink, cabinets, drawers, and a large mirror. The usability of the bath completes the shower with an attentive cabin that protects it. While the good taste emphasizes circular dome with the concealed lighting, the same as the bath on the 1st floor. Both bathrooms are equipped with bathrobes, towels, slippers & personal hygiene items. There is one more bathroom with a toilet and shower.

Beautiful modern villa in lovely setting with great hosts.

It felt like a palace, beautifully presented with very spacious rooms and wonderful views of mountains and coast from all rooms. There were multiple outside seating/ dining areas including a shaded bbq area next to the pool and a vast rooftop terrace…
It felt like a palace, beautifully presented with very spacious rooms and wonderful views of mountains and coast from all rooms. There were multiple outside seating/ dining areas including a shaded bbq area next to the pool and a vast rooftop terrace. The pool was large and well-maintained as was the garden and all outside areas were private and secluded. The kitchen was very well equipped for self-catering. the owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful, leaving a substantial welcome pack including homemade honey, cakes, raki, and wine. They were incredibly responsive, addressing a very minor query we had straight away.

Villa Dimokratia was just perfect!

When we go back to Crete there is no doubt where we will stay again. The villa itself is spotless inside and outside, everything was 100%. We like that the property is gated and the car can stay inside the gates. Very nice pool with quality furniture…
When we go back to Crete there is no doubt where we will stay again. The villa itself is spotless inside and outside, everything was 100%. We like that the property is gated and the car can stay inside the gates. Very nice pool with quality furniture and sunbeds. The host offers a special kindness and hospitality and we could not imagine a greater host. It was a home away from home. Nikos had arranged dinner in the oven, when we arrived late (11pm). They cleaned the villa and changed linen and towels two times during our stay. I have no problem recommending this villa to my friends and family. This is not just a rental, this feels like a home.

Lovely villa and an amazing pool. The washing machine was very handy. We couldn’t have asked for a better location with children- we didn’t have to travel too far to get to places, wineries, beaches, taverns/restaurants close by car. Just over 1 hour to get to the famous Elafonissi beach. Toiletries were provided - soap, shampoo/shower gel, conditioner, and body lotion which was a lovely touch.

Our holiday in Crete was wonderful, made outstanding by the outstanding Villa Dimokratia that was truly exceptional. Every detail of the spacious accommodation has been carefully thought out to make a comfortable and very well equipped home. Nikos was there to meet us and ensure we should know how everything worked and gave us some home-made wine, raki, local olive oil, some fresh eggs from his chickens and a cake from his mother-in-law! We lacked nothing and relaxed completely in this lovely villa, set in a beautiful garden and surrounded by olive groves. Every day we used and appreciated the swimming pool, afterwards sitting in the garden where two very fine lemon tress were laden with ripe fruit, so providing the basis for refreshing drinks. The local fishing village has a good supermarket and, of course, wonderful fresh fish every day in the restaurants. With our hired car, we found Kolimvari to be a good base for exploring the west of the island and only about 20 minutes from Chania using the National road. All in all, we were delighted with our stay, which always feels too short, and are grateful to you for introducing us to the property. I look forward to using your services again.

Magnificent stay - amazing owners

We had a such a great stay in Villa Dimokratia on the end of May. The house is huge, has enough space for 6 to 8 people, it's very clean (with a speacial cleaning in the middle of our stay - towels changed, beds made, wow, never seen anything like this…
We had a such a great stay in Villa Dimokratia on the end of May. The house is huge, has enough space for 6 to 8 people, it's very clean (with a speacial cleaning in the middle of our stay - towels changed, beds made, wow, never seen anything like this anywhere else!). It is very spacious and comfortable, with all the equipment to enjoy the holiday to the full. Enough towels (including bathrobes and slippers). The house is beautifully set in a large green well-kept garden with a pool and and covered BBQ area. We have enjoyed every bit of it until the moment of departure. We can definitely recommend this villa by all means!
